2. Safety Instructions

  • Read all instructions before operating the appliance.
  • Do not immerse the appliance, power cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
  • Keep the appliance out of reach of children.
  • Ensure the voltage specified on the appliance matches your local mains voltage.
  • Unplug the machine from the power outlet before cleaning and when not in use.

4. Setup

4.1 Unpacking

  1. Remove all packaging materials from the machine.
  2. Place the machine on a stable, level surface, away from heat sources and water.
  3. Ensure adequate space around the machine for ventilation and access to components.

4.2 Filling the Water Tank

  1. Remove the water tank from the back of the machine.
  2. Fill the tank with fresh, cold tap water up to the MAX level indicated.
  3. Insert the water tank back into the machine until it clicks into place.

4.3 Filling the Bean Hopper

  1. Open the lid of the bean hopper on top of the machine.
  2. Pour whole coffee beans into the hopper. Do not overfill.
  3. Close the lid securely to preserve bean freshness.

4.4 Attaching the Milk Container

  1. Fill the milk container with cold milk (preferably whole milk, 5-7°C) up to the desired level.
  2. Connect the milk tube from the machine to the milk container.
  3. Ensure the milk spout is correctly positioned over the drip tray or a cup.

4.5 Initial Rinse Cycle

After initial setup, the machine will prompt you to perform an initial rinse cycle. Follow the on-screen instructions to flush the system with hot water. This cleans the internal components and prepares the machine for use.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

  • Press and hold the power button to turn the machine off. It will perform an automatic rinse before shutting down.

5.3 Adjusting Grind Settings

The machine features 15 grind levels to customize your coffee's aroma and strength. A finer grind results in a stronger, more intense coffee, while a coarser grind produces a lighter taste.

  1. Open the bean hopper lid.
  2. Locate the grind adjustment dial inside the hopper.
  3. Turn the dial to select your desired grind level. We recommend starting at level 8 and adjusting based on preference.
  4. Close the bean hopper lid.

5.4 Adjusting Coffee Strength and Volume

Before brewing, you can adjust the coffee strength and beverage volume via the touchscreen. Follow the on-screen prompts to customize your drink to your preference.

5.5 Using the Milk System

For milk-based beverages, ensure the milk container is filled with cold milk and properly connected. The machine's automatic milk system will froth and dispense milk directly into your cup.

  • For optimal froth, use cold whole milk (5-7°C). Skimmed or warm milk may produce less froth.
  • Ensure the silicone tube is not bent and the milk spout is clean.

5.6 Customizing and Saving Beverages

You can adjust the intensity and milk quantity for your beverages. To save your preferred settings, press and hold the beverage icon on the touchscreen. The machine will remember your customized recipe for future use.

6. Maintenance

Regular cleaning and maintenance are crucial for the longevity of your machine and the quality of your coffee.

6.1 Daily Cleaning

  1. Drip Tray and Coffee Grounds Container: Empty and rinse daily.
  2. Brew Unit: The brew unit is removable. Turn off the machine, remove the brew unit, rinse it under running water, and let it air dry before reinserting.
  3. Milk System: After each milk-based beverage, the machine will prompt for a quick rinse of the milk system. Perform this rinse to prevent milk residue buildup. Regularly disassemble and clean the milk container and tubes with warm soapy water.

6.2 Descaling

The machine will indicate when descaling is required. Follow the on-screen instructions and use a suitable descaling solution for coffee machines. Descaling removes mineral buildup and ensures optimal performance.
