4. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your evaporative air cooler:

  2. Placement: Position the air cooler on a firm, level surface. Ensure there is adequate space around the unit for proper airflow. The 360° rotable casters allow for easy movement.
  3. Fill Water Tank: Pull out the water tank from the bottom of the unit. Fill the tank with clean water, ensuring the water level does not exceed the 'MAX' line. The tank has a 4.2-gallon capacity.
  4. Add Ice Packs (Optional): For enhanced cooling, place the provided ice packs in a freezer until completely frozen. Once frozen, place them into the water tank.
  5. Secure Water Tank: Push the water tank back into the unit until it is securely in place.
  6. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet.

5. Operating Instructions

Your Uthfy Portable Evaporative Air Cooler can be operated using the control panel on the unit or the included remote control.

5.1 Power On/Off

  • Press the ON/OFF button to turn the unit on or off. The digital display will illuminate when powered on.

5.2 Adjusting Fan Speed

  • Press the SPEED button repeatedly to cycle through Low, Medium, and High fan speeds.

5.3 Selecting Operating Mode

  • Press the MODE button repeatedly to select from Normal, Natural, or Sleep modes.
  • Normal Mode: Provides a constant airflow at the selected speed.
  • Natural Mode: Simulates natural breeze by varying fan speeds.
  • Sleep Mode: Gradually reduces fan speed and operates quietly for a peaceful sleeping environment.

5.4 Activating Cooling Function

  • Ensure the water tank is filled. Press the COOL button to activate the evaporative cooling function. The cool indicator light will turn on.
  • Press the COOL button again to turn off the cooling function.

5.5 Setting the Timer

  • Press the TIMER button repeatedly to set the desired auto-off time, from 1 to 12 hours. The display will show the selected time.
  • The unit will automatically turn off once the set time has elapsed.

5.6 Oscillation Function

  • Press the SWING button to activate the 120° oscillation, distributing air across a wider area.
  • Press the SWING button again to stop oscillation.

5.7 Remote Control Usage

  • The remote control duplicates all functions available on the main control panel. Point the remote control directly at the unit's receiver.
  • Ensure batteries are correctly installed in the remote control.

6. Maintenance

Regular cleaning and maintenance will help prolong the life of your evaporative air cooler and ensure efficient operation.

6.1 Cleaning the Water Tank

  • Unplug the unit before cleaning.
  • Remove the water tank and empty any remaining water.
  • Clean the tank with a mild detergent and warm water. Rinse thoroughly to remove any residue.
  • Dry the tank completely before reinserting it into the unit.
  • Clean the water tank at least once a week, or more frequently depending on usage and water quality.

6.2 Cleaning the Air Filter

  • Unplug the unit.
  • Locate and carefully remove the air filter (usually at the back or side of the unit).
  • Rinse the filter under running water to remove dust and debris. For stubborn dirt, use a soft brush and mild detergent.
  • Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinserting it. Do not use the unit with a wet filter.
