3.1 Parent Unit (Monitor)

  • 5-inch 720P IPS Display: Provides a clear, wide-angle view of your baby.
  • Control Buttons: Power, Menu, Navigation (Up/Down/Left/Right/OK), Talk, Volume.
  • Antenna: For wireless signal reception.
  • Charging Port: For connecting the power adapter.
  • Speaker/Microphone: For two-way audio communication.

3.2 Baby Unit (Camera)

  • Camera Lens: Captures video feed.
  • Infrared LEDs: Enable automatic night vision in low light.
  • Microphone: Detects sounds from the baby's room.

4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Parent Unit

  1. Connect one power adapter to the Parent Unit's charging port.
  2. Plug the other end of the adapter into a power outlet.
  3. Charge the Parent Unit fully before first use. A full charge provides approximately 10 hours of continuous monitoring or 22 hours in VOX mode.

4.2 Powering the Baby Unit

  1. Connect the second power adapter to the Baby Unit's power port.
  2. Plug the other end of the adapter into a power outlet. The Baby Unit requires continuous power to operate.

4.3 Positioning the Baby Unit

  1. Place the Baby Unit on a flat surface in the baby's room, ensuring a clear, unobstructed view of the crib.
  2. Keep the camera at least 1 meter (3 feet) away from the baby to prevent entanglement with cords.
  3. Manually adjust the camera's angle to achieve the desired viewing area. Remote control of camera rotation is not supported.

4.4 Initial Pairing

The Parent Unit and Baby Unit are typically pre-paired at the factory. If the connection is lost or you are adding an additional camera, refer to the 'Adding/Managing Cameras' section for re-pairing instructions.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

  • To power on the Parent Unit, press and hold the Power button until the screen illuminates.
  • To power off, press and hold the Power button again until the screen turns off.

5.2 Volume Adjustment

Use the dedicated Volume Up and Volume Down buttons on the Parent Unit to adjust the audio level.

5.3 Brightness Adjustment

Access the menu on the Parent Unit to adjust the screen brightness for optimal viewing comfort.

5.4 Two-Way Talk (Intercom)

Press and hold the Talk button on the Parent Unit to speak to your baby through the Baby Unit's speaker. Release the button to hear your baby.

5.5 VOX Mode (Voice Operated eXchange)

In VOX mode, the Parent Unit's screen and audio will automatically activate when sound is detected in the baby's room, conserving battery power. The unit will return to standby after a period of silence. Adjust VOX sensitivity in the menu settings.

5.6 Digital Zoom

Use the navigation buttons on the Parent Unit to digitally zoom in or out on the video feed for a closer view of your baby.

5.7 Night Vision

The Baby Unit automatically activates its infrared night vision function in low light conditions, providing a clear black and white image of your baby without disturbing their sleep.

5.8 Temperature Display

The Parent Unit displays the real-time room temperature detected by the Baby Unit's integrated temperature sensor, helping you ensure your baby's comfort.

5.9 Adding/Managing Cameras

The GHB ABM700 system supports up to two cameras. To add an additional camera or re-pair an existing one:

  1. Access the 'Camera Management' or 'Pairing' option in the Parent Unit's menu.
  2. Select an available camera channel.
  3. Follow the on-screen prompts to initiate pairing.
  4. Press the Pairing button on the back of the Baby Unit within the specified time frame.
  5. Once successfully paired, the image from the new camera will appear on the Parent Unit.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

Wipe the Parent Unit and Baby Unit with a dry, soft, lint-free cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the surfaces.

6.2 Battery Care (Parent Unit)

To prolong battery life, avoid exposing the Parent Unit to extreme temperatures. If storing the unit for an extended period, charge it periodically to maintain battery health.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your GHB ABM700 Baby Monitor, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • No Signal or Poor Connection:
    • Ensure both units are powered on and within range. The system uses 2.4GHz FHSS wireless technology.
    • Reduce the distance between the Parent Unit and Baby Unit.
    • Remove any large metallic objects or other electronic devices that may cause interference.
    • Try re-pairing the units as described in section 5.9.
  • No Image or Sound:
    • Check that both the Parent Unit and Baby Unit are properly connected to their power adapters and turned on.
    • Adjust the volume and brightness settings on the Parent Unit.
  • Short Battery Life on Parent Unit:

    • Utilize VOX mode to conserve battery power.
