5. Installation Instructions
Before You Begin: Ensure power is turned OFF at the circuit breaker or fuse box to avoid electrical shock. If you are unsure about electrical wiring, consult a qualified electrician.
- Prepare the Junction Box: Ensure you have a standard one-gang junction box installed in the desired location.
- Connect Wiring:
- Connect the black wire from the fixture to the hot (black) wire from the junction box.
- Connect the white wire from the fixture to the neutral (white) wire from the junction box.
- Connect the green wire from the fixture to the ground (green or bare copper) wire from the junction box.
- Select Color Temperature (CCT): Before mounting, locate the CCT selection switch on the back of the light module. Slide the switch to your desired color temperature: 3000K (Warm White), 4000K (Neutral White), or 5000K (Daylight).

- Mount the Light Module: Carefully tuck the wires into the junction box. Align the light module with the junction box and secure it using the provided mounting screws.
- Attach the Faceplate: Once the module is securely mounted, snap or screw the decorative faceplate onto the light module.
- Restore Power: Turn the power back ON at the circuit breaker or fuse box. Test the light to ensure proper operation.

6. Operating Instructions
The Maxxima Horizontal LED Step Light operates by simply turning on the power at the wall switch connected to the fixture. The chosen color temperature (3000K, 4000K, or 5000K) will illuminate once power is supplied. The CCT setting is selected during installation and remains constant until manually changed.

7. Maintenance
The LED step light requires minimal maintenance. To clean the fixture:
- Ensure power is OFF before cleaning.
- Wipe the exterior surface with a soft, damp cloth.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the finish or electrical components.
- Periodically check for any loose connections or damage to the wiring, especially for outdoor installations.
8. Troubleshooting
If the LED step light is not functioning correctly, refer to the following common issues and solutions:
- Light does not turn ON:
- Check if the power supply is ON at the circuit breaker.
- Verify that all wire connections are secure and correctly made (hot to hot, neutral to neutral, ground to ground).
- Ensure the fixture is receiving the correct voltage (120VAC).
- Light flickers or dims:
- Check for loose wire connections.
- Ensure the fixture is not connected to a dimmer switch unless explicitly rated for dimming (this model is not specified as dimmable).
- Verify stable power supply.
- Incorrect color temperature:
- Turn off power to the fixture.
- Remove the faceplate and module to access the CCT selection switch.
- Adjust the switch to the desired setting (3000K, 4000K, or 5000K).
