4. Installation Guide

Before installation, ensure your RV door opening size is 3.75 inches x 2.75 inches x 1.5 inches. This lock is designed to fit these specific dimensions.

Installation Steps:

1. Prepare the Door: Ensure the existing door lock is removed and the door opening matches the required dimensions (3.75" x 2.75" x 1.5").
2. Install Front Handle: Slide the front handle of the RV Door Lock into the door's front opening.
3. Attach Strike Plate: Secure the strike plate to the side of the door frame using the provided screws.
4. Connect Main Line: Connect the main wiring line from the front handle to the rear handle. Ensure the connection is secure.
5. Attach Rear Handle: Position the rear handle over the opening, aligning it with the front handle, and secure it with screws.
6. Install Batteries: Open the battery compartment on the rear handle. Install four AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Close the battery compartment.

5. Setup and Programming

5.1 Setting a New Passcode

1. Press and hold the 'Setting' button (located on the back of the interior handle) for 5 seconds until the indicator light turns blue.
2. Enter your desired 6-8 digit password.
3. Press the 'Lock' button to confirm.
4. When the green light turns blue, repeat the new password and press the 'Lock' button again to confirm. A steady green light indicates successful setup.

5.2 Setting a Fingerprint

The lock supports up to 30 unique fingerprints.

1. Long-press the 'Setting' button (located on the back of the interior handle).
2. Enter the first password you set (the default is '123456' if not changed) and press the 'Lock' button.
3. When the blue light is steady, place your finger on the fingerprint sensor. Lift and press your finger 5 times, ensuring different angles for comprehensive registration.
4. A green flash indicates successful registration for each scan. After 5 successful scans, a steady green light confirms completion.

6. Operation

6.1 Unlocking the Door

• Fingerprint: Place your registered finger on the sensor. The lock will unlock if the fingerprint is recognized.
• Keypad: Enter your 6-8 digit password on the keypad, then press the 'Lock' button. The lock will unlock.
• Mechanical Key: Insert one of the provided mechanical keys into the keyhole and turn to unlock.

6.2 Locking the Door

• One-Touch Locking: Press the 'Lock' button on the keypad. This will lock both the exterior door handle and the latch simultaneously.
• Manual Locking: From the inside, use the manual lock lever to secure the door.

7. Resetting the Lock

To reset the RV door lock to its factory default settings (password '123456'):

1. Hold the 'Setting' button (on the back of the interior handle) for 10 seconds until the green light turns red.
2. Press the 'Unlock' key on the keypad.
3. When the green light turns on, the reset is successful. The default password is now '123456'.

8. Maintenance

• Battery Replacement: When the battery indicator is low, replace all four AA batteries promptly to ensure continuous operation.
• Cleaning: Wipe the lock's exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Fingerprint Sensor: In wet conditions, ensure your fingers are dry before using the fingerprint sensor for optimal sensitivity and recognition.

9. Troubleshooting

• Lock Not Responding: Check battery levels. Replace batteries if low. Ensure the main wiring connection between the front and rear handles is secure.
• Fingerprint Not Recognized: Ensure your finger is clean and dry. Try re-registering your fingerprint if issues persist. Ensure proper placement on the sensor.
• Keypad Not Working: Verify the password entered is correct. If the lock was recently reset, the password might have reverted to the default '123456'.
• Mechanical Key Not Working: Ensure the key is fully inserted and turned correctly. If the electronic system is completely unresponsive, the mechanical key should still function.
• Locking/Unlocking Issues: Check for any obstructions in the door frame or latch mechanism. Ensure the lock is properly aligned and installed.
