4.3 Mowing Techniques (2-in-1 System)
Your PowerSmart mower supports both mulching and bagging functions.

Figure 4.2: 2-in-1 Mulching and Bagging System. This visual demonstrates the dual functionality of the mower, allowing users to choose between collecting clippings in the bag or finely cutting and returning them to the lawn as mulch.
- Bagging: For collecting grass clippings, ensure the grass catcher is properly installed. Empty the bag regularly to maintain optimal performance.
- Mulching: For mulching, remove the grass catcher and ensure the mulching plug (if applicable) is inserted into the rear discharge opening. Mulching returns finely cut grass clippings to the lawn, providing natural nutrients.
- For best results, avoid cutting more than one-third of the grass blade length at a time.
5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your lawn mower.
5.1 Cleaning
- Always disconnect the power cord before cleaning.
- Clean the exterior of the mower with a damp cloth. Do not use water jets or high-pressure washers directly on the motor or electrical components.
- Remove grass clippings and debris from the underside of the mower deck and around the blade.
5.2 Blade Care
- Inspect the blade regularly for sharpness and damage. A dull blade can tear grass, leading to an unhealthy lawn.
- If the blade is dull, it can be sharpened by a qualified service center or replaced.
- When handling the blade, wear heavy-duty gloves to prevent injury.
5.3 Storage

Figure 5.1: Collapsible Design for Storage. The mower's foldable handles allow for significant space saving, making storage convenient in garages or sheds.

- Fold the handles for compact storage.
- Store the mower in a dry, well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
