2. Surface Preparation

Clean the installation area thoroughly to ensure optimal adhesion of the self-adhesive pads. The surface should be dry and free of dust or grease.

Important Note:

  • The alarm will only function correctly if the main unit and magnetic sensor are within the specified distance when the door/window is closed.
  • Ensure the installation area is clean and the sensor is installed within 0.5 inches from the arrow side of the alarm.

Operating Instructions

1. Powering On/Off

Locate the ON/OFF switch on the side of the main alarm unit. Slide the switch to the 'ON' position to activate the alarm, and to 'OFF' to deactivate it.

2. Mode Selection (Alarm/Chime)

The alarm unit features a 2-in-1 function. Use the mode switch to select between:

  • Alarm Mode: Produces a loud, continuous siren when triggered. Ideal for security.
  • Chime Mode: Produces a short, pleasant sound (like a doorbell) when triggered. Useful for monitoring entry/exit without a full alarm.

3. Volume Control

Adjust the volume using the 3-level volume switch on the side of the main unit. Select the desired loudness based on your environment and needs.

Maintenance

1. Battery Replacement

If the alarm's sound becomes weak or it stops functioning, the batteries may need replacement. To replace batteries:

  1. Ensure the alarm is in the 'OFF' position.
  2. Carefully slide the main alarm unit upwards off its mounting plate. The mounting plate will remain attached to the door/window frame.
  3. Unscrew the small screw on the back of the main unit to access the battery compartment.
  4. Replace the old LR44 batteries with new ones, ensuring correct polarity.
  5. Secure the battery compartment cover and slide the unit back onto its mounting plate.

2. Cleaning

Wipe the alarm units periodically with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and debris. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

3. Adhesion Check

Periodically check the adhesion of both units to ensure they are securely attached to the surface. Reapply new adhesive pads if necessary.
