2. Safety Information

  • Ensure the cabinet is securely mounted to the wall to prevent falling.
  • Do not exceed the weight capacity of 30 pounds per shelf. The overall maximum weight capacity is 100 pounds.
  • This product is designed for indoor use in bathrooms or similar environments.
  • Avoid exposing the cabinet to excessive moisture or direct water spray.

4. Installation Instructions

The ExBrite medicine cabinet can be installed using either a recessed or surface mount method. Choose the method that best suits your bathroom design.

4.1 Pre-Installation Checks

  1. Inspect the Product: Before installation, carefully inspect the cabinet for any damage. Do not install if damaged.
  2. Gather Tools: You will need a drill, screwdriver, level, measuring tape, pencil, and appropriate safety gear.
  3. Power Disconnection: Ensure the main power supply to the installation area is turned off at the circuit breaker.
  4. Wall Structure: Verify that the wall can support the weight of the cabinet (approximately 73.48 lbs empty, plus contents). Locate wall studs if possible.
  5. Clearance: Ensure sufficient clearance for the cabinet doors to open fully (170°).

4.2 Dimensions and Cutout Reference

Refer to the following diagrams and table for precise cabinet and cutout dimensions for recessed installation.

4.3 General Installation Steps (Recessed & Surface Mount)

The following steps outline the general process. Specific details for recessed and surface mounting are provided below.

  1. Verify Minimum Clearance: Ensure adequate space around the cabinet for door swing and access.
  2. Measure and Mark: Determine the desired height and center of the cabinet. Mark the positions for the mounting bar.
  3. Drill Holes: Drill pilot holes for the mounting bar screws. Use appropriate wall anchors if drilling into drywall.
  4. Secure Mounting Bar: Attach the support bar securely to the wall using screws. Ensure it is level.
  5. Prepare Wiring: For hardwired installations, pull the electrical wires through the designated opening in the cabinet. Connect the white (neutral), black (live), and green/bare (ground) wires according to local electrical codes.
  6. Hang Cabinet: Carefully lift the cabinet and engage it onto the mounting bar. Ensure it is seated securely.
  7. Final Securement: Secure the cabinet to the wall using additional screws through the internal mounting points, if applicable.
  8. Install Shelves: Insert the adjustable glass shelves into the desired positions.

4.4 Recessed Mount Installation

For recessed installation, a wall cutout is required. The cabinet will extend approximately 1 inch from the wall for easy access.

  1. Create Wall Cutout: Based on the cutout dimensions (Figure 4.1 and 4.2), carefully cut an opening in the wall. Ensure no electrical wires or plumbing are in the way.
  2. Frame the Opening: If necessary, add framing around the cutout to provide secure attachment points for the cabinet.
  3. Follow General Steps: Proceed with steps 1-8 from Section 4.3.

4.5 Surface Mount Installation

For surface mounting, the cabinet is directly attached to the wall surface.

  1. Follow General Steps: Proceed with steps 1-8 from Section 4.3.
  2. Secure Side Panels (if applicable): If your model includes decorative side panels for surface mounting, attach them according to the manufacturer's instructions.

5. Operation

After successful installation and power connection, you can begin operating your ExBrite medicine cabinet.

5.1 Power On/Off and Lighting Control

The mirror features touch controls for lighting functions. The front and backlighting can be controlled independently or together.

  1. Turn On/Off: Tap the power icon on the mirror surface to turn the lights on or off.
  2. Adjust Brightness: Long press the brightness control icon to seamlessly adjust the light intensity from 10% to 100%.
  3. Change Color Temperature: Tap the color temperature icon to cycle through 3000K (Warm White), 4500K (Natural White), and 6000K (Cool White) settings.

5.2 Defog Function

Activate the defogger to clear condensation from the mirror surface.

  1. Activate Defog: Tap the defog icon on the mirror surface. The defogger will turn on.
  2. Automatic Shut-off: The defog function will automatically turn off after one hour to conserve energy. You can manually turn it off by tapping the icon again.

5.3 Clock and Temperature Display

The mirror features an integrated digital clock and temperature display.

  1. Setting Time: Refer to the specific instructions provided with the cabinet for setting the time. This typically involves a long press on the clock icon or a combination of presses.
  2. Temperature Display: The cabinet displays the ambient room temperature.

5.4 5X Magnifier

The movable 5X magnification mirror is ideal for detailed tasks.

6. Maintenance
