6. Installation Instructions

6.1. Before You Begin

  • Ensure power is disconnected at the circuit breaker before starting installation.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Review all steps before proceeding.

6.2. Wiring Methods

The fixture supports two wiring methods for emergency functionality:

  1. Method 1 (L(UA) Wiring): Divide the L(UA) wiring into two wires. Connect one wire to the SA terminal through the switch. The light fixture will be controlled by an external wall switch.
  2. Method 2 (Short-circuit L and SA): Short-circuit L and SA with a short wire. The light fixture will be 7 x 24h ON.

6.3. CCT and Wattage Selection

Before closing the fixture, locate the internal switches for CCT (Color Temperature) and Wattage selection. Adjust these switches to your desired settings:

  • CCT Switch: Select 3000K, 4000K, or 5000K.
  • Wattage Switch: Select 10W or 20W.

6.4. Mounting Options

The fixture supports both surface mount and suspend mount installations.

6.4.1. Surface Mount Installation

  1. Open the buckle and take out the diffuser.
  2. Remove the aircraft buckles at both ends to take out the iron plate. Connect the earth wire to the iron plate and connect the earth wire from the power supply plug-in terminal block.
  3. Drill holes on the ceiling in the corresponding position according to the holes of the iron plate bracket. Insert M6 wall plugs into the holes, then fix the iron plate bracket to the ceiling with the provided M6 screws.
  4. Pull the power cable into the luminaire from the PG13.5 waterproof gland.
  5. Connect the power cable to the terminal block on the luminaire bracket according to the wiring sequence.
  6. Connect the luminaire body with the slings (which are pre-fixed), connect the earth wire plug to the earth wire from the power supply, and insert the connector on the control gear.
  7. Install the iron plate back to the bracket, rotate the aircraft buckles on both ends of the bracket to lock the iron plate, install the diffuser onto the bracket, and fasten the buckles.

6.4.2. Suspend Mount Installation

  1. Separate the luminaire body from the luminaire bracket (refer to Step 1 of Surface Mount).
  2. Drill holes on the ceiling in the corresponding position according to the holes position of the hanging rope. Insert M6 wall plugs into the holes, then fix the hanging rope clip to the ceiling with the provided M6 screws.
  3. Install the installation buckles onto the hanging rope with provided M4 flat screws.
  4. Pull the power cable into the luminaire bracket from the cable entry hole, then install the bracket onto the buckles.
  5. Refer to steps 4, 5, and 6 of Surface Mount for wiring and final assembly.

7. Operating Instructions

7.1. Emergency Battery Backup Function

The built-in LiFePO4 battery automatically charges when main power is supplied and discharges to provide emergency lighting when main power is interrupted. The battery provides over 200 minutes of illumination.

7.2. Test Button Functions

The integrated test button allows for verification and management of the emergency function:

  • Simulated Emergency Testing: Press and hold the test button for more than 1.5 seconds. The luminaire will simulate a main power failure and enter emergency mode. Release the button to return to the previous status.
  • Force Self-test: Press and hold the test button for more than 10 seconds. The luminaire will perform a self-test. Release the button to return to the previous status until the self-test is finished. The self-test result will be indicated by the Yellow indicator.
  • Reset to Default Setting: Press the test button 3 times within 3 seconds. All three indicators will flash 3 times synchronously, and the luminaire will enter the default setting mode. Yellow and Red indicators will flash synchronously.

7.3. Indicator Lights

The fixture features three indicator lights:

  • Green LED: Indicates the battery is fully charged.
  • Red LED: Indicates the battery is currently charging.
  • Yellow LED: Indicates a self-test fault or other system error.

8. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your light fixture.

  • Cleaning: Clean the exterior of the fixture periodically with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure the fixture is off and cool before cleaning.
  • Battery Check: Perform monthly checks of the emergency function using the test button to ensure the battery is operational.
  • Visual Inspection: Periodically inspect the fixture for any signs of damage, loose connections, or wear.
