1. Introduction

The Moni i-Size i-Safe Car Seat is designed to provide secure and comfortable travel for children with a height of 76 to 150 cm, corresponding to Group 1/2/3. This car seat features Isofix and Top Tether installation for enhanced stability and safety. It includes a 5-point harness system, a 13-position adjustable headrest, and soft cushioning for optimal child comfort.

2. Safety Information

Please read and understand all instructions before installing and using the Moni i-Size i-Safe Car Seat. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious injury or death.

• Always ensure the car seat is correctly installed and secured in the vehicle according to the instructions.
• Never leave your child unattended in the car seat.
• Ensure the 5-point harness is properly adjusted and snug against your child's body, with no slack.
• Do not use the car seat if it has been involved in an accident, even if there is no visible damage. Internal damage may compromise its safety.
• Do not modify the car seat or use accessories not approved by the manufacturer.
• Always check that the car seat is securely fastened before each journey.

3. Setup and Installation

The Moni i-Size i-Safe Car Seat is designed for forward-facing installation using the Isofix system and Top Tether.

3.1 Isofix Installation

1. Locate the Isofix anchor points in your vehicle. These are typically found between the backrest and the seat cushion.
2. Extend the Isofix connectors from the car seat by pressing the release buttons (if applicable) and pulling them out.
3. Align the Isofix connectors with the vehicle's anchor points and push firmly until you hear an audible 'click' and the indicators turn green (if present).
4. Push the car seat firmly against the vehicle's backrest to ensure a tight fit.

3.2 Top Tether Installation

1. Locate the Top Tether anchor point in your vehicle. This is usually on the back of the vehicle seat, on the parcel shelf, or in the boot.
2. Pull the Top Tether strap from the car seat and attach the hook to the vehicle's Top Tether anchor point.
3. Tighten the Top Tether strap until it is taut, removing any slack. The indicator on the Top Tether strap should show green (if present).

3.3 Headrest Adjustment

The headrest can be adjusted to 13 different positions to accommodate your child's height. To adjust, locate the headrest adjustment lever (usually at the top or back of the headrest), squeeze it, and slide the headrest up or down to the desired position. Ensure the headrest is positioned so that the shoulder straps are at or just above your child's shoulders.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Securing Your Child

1. Place your child in the car seat.
2. Bring the two buckle tongues together and insert them into the buckle until you hear a 'click'.
3. Pull the harness adjustment strap (usually located at the front of the seat) to tighten the harness until it is snug against your child's body. You should not be able to pinch any slack in the harness straps at the shoulder.
4. To loosen the harness, press the harness release button (usually under a flap at the front of the seat) and pull the shoulder straps forward.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning the Cover

The car seat cover is removable and washable. It is made from 100% polyester.

• To remove the cover, carefully unhook it from the edges of the car seat.
• Wash the cover according to the care label instructions, typically a gentle cycle with mild detergent. Do not bleach or tumble dry.
• Allow the cover to air dry completely before reattaching it to the car seat.

5.2 Cleaning the Harness and Plastic Parts

• Wipe plastic parts with a damp cloth and mild soap.
• Clean the harness straps with a damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasives, as these can weaken the straps.

6. Troubleshooting

• Car seat feels loose after installation: Re-check that the Isofix connectors are fully engaged (green indicators visible) and the Top Tether strap is taut. Push the car seat firmly into the vehicle seat.
• Harness is difficult to tighten or loosen: Ensure the harness straps are not twisted or caught in any part of the seat. Check that the harness adjustment mechanism is clear of obstructions.
• Headrest does not adjust smoothly: Ensure no fabric or debris is obstructing the adjustment mechanism. Apply gentle, even pressure when operating the adjustment lever.
