The Moni i-Size i-Safe child car seat is designed for children with a body height of 76 to 150 centimeters, belonging to Group 1/2/3. It is suitable for children from approximately 15 months up to 12 years of age, with a maximum weight of 36 kilograms.

2. Safety Information

WARNING: Failure to follow these safety instructions could result in serious injury or death.

• Always ensure the car seat is correctly installed using the ISOFIX system and Top Tether (where applicable) as per the instructions.
• Secure your child with the 5-point safety harness. Ensure the harness is snug and not twisted.
• Never leave a child unattended in the car seat.
• Do not use the car seat if it has been involved in an accident, even if there is no visible damage. Internal damage may compromise its safety.
• Regularly check all parts of the car seat for wear and tear. Replace damaged parts immediately.

4. Setup and Installation

The Moni i-Size i-Safe car seat offers a secure installation method using the ISOFIX system and Top Tether.

4.1. ISOFIX Installation

1. Locate the ISOFIX anchor points in your vehicle's rear seat. These are typically marked with an ISOFIX symbol.
2. Extend the ISOFIX connectors from the car seat base by pressing the release buttons (refer to Figure 2).
3. Align the ISOFIX connectors with the vehicle's anchor points and push firmly until you hear an audible "click" and the indicators turn green. Pull on the car seat to ensure it is securely attached.
4. Push the car seat firmly against the vehicle's seat back to remove any slack.

4.2. Top Tether Connection

1. Locate the Top Tether anchor point in your vehicle. This is usually on the back of the vehicle seat or on the parcel shelf/boot floor.
2. Attach the Top Tether hook from the car seat to the vehicle's Top Tether anchor point.
3. Tighten the Top Tether strap until the indicator (if present) shows it is correctly tensioned and the strap is taut. This prevents forward rotation of the car seat in a collision.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Securing Your Child (5-Point Harness)

1. Place your child in the car seat.
2. Bring the two buckle tongues together and insert them into the buckle until you hear a "click".
3. Pull the harness adjustment strap to tighten the harness. Ensure it is snug against your child's body, with no slack. You should not be able to pinch any excess webbing at the child's shoulder.
4. To release the harness, press the red button on the buckle.

5.2. Adjusting the Headrest

The headrest can be adjusted to 13 different height positions to ensure optimal comfort and safety for your growing child.

1. Locate the headrest adjustment lever, typically at the top or back of the headrest.
2. Squeeze the lever and simultaneously pull the headrest upwards or push it downwards to the desired height.
3. Release the lever to lock the headrest in place. Ensure the headrest is positioned so that the shoulder straps are at or just above your child's shoulders.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and hygiene of your car seat.

6.1. Cleaning the Fabric Cover

• The fabric cover of the Moni i-Size i-Safe car seat is removable and washable.
• Carefully remove the cover from the car seat frame.
• Wash the cover according to the care label instructions, typically a gentle cycle with cold water. Do not bleach or tumble dry.
• Allow the cover to air dry completely before reattaching it to the car seat.

6.2. Cleaning the Frame and Harness

• Wipe the plastic and metal parts of the car seat frame with a damp cloth and mild soap.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Clean the harness straps with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the harness in water or use harsh detergents, as this can weaken the webbing.

7. Troubleshooting

• Car seat feels loose after installation: Ensure ISOFIX connectors are fully engaged (green indicators visible) and the Top Tether is taut. Push the car seat firmly into the vehicle seat back.
• Harness is difficult to tighten/loosen: Check for any twists in the harness straps. Ensure no fabric is obstructing the harness adjustment mechanism.
• Headrest not adjusting: Ensure the adjustment lever is fully squeezed. Check for any obstructions.
• Buckle not clicking: Ensure both buckle tongues are fully inserted into the buckle. Check for any debris in the buckle mechanism.
