4. Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the ice maker from its packaging. Retain packaging for future transport or storage.
- Placement: Place the ice maker on a stable, level surface away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit. Refer to the product dimensions (17.3" L x 9.7" W x 16.7" H) to confirm fit under cabinets.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, it is recommended to run the self-cleaning cycle. Fill the water reservoir with clean water and initiate the cleaning function as described in the 'Maintenance and Cleaning' section. Drain the water after the cycle.
- Water Filling:
- Manual Fill: Open the top lid and pour clean, potable water directly into the water reservoir up to the MAX fill line.
- Automatic Fill: Connect the provided 10ft 1/4" hose to a potable water supply line and to the designated inlet on the back of the ice maker. Ensure all connections are secure to prevent leaks.
- Power Connection: Plug the ice maker into a grounded electrical outlet.
5. Operating Instructions
- Power On: Press the 'On/Off' button on the control panel to start the ice maker. The 'Making' indicator light will illuminate.
- Ice Production: The machine will begin producing ice. The first batch of nugget ice typically takes 5-10 minutes.
- Ice Full Sensor: The ice maker is equipped with an infrared sensor. When the ice basket is full, the 'Ice Full' indicator light will turn on, and the machine will automatically stop producing ice. Remove ice from the basket to resume production.
- Add Water Indicator: If the water reservoir is low, the 'Add Water' indicator light will illuminate. Refill the reservoir manually or ensure the automatic water supply is connected and functioning.
- Power Off: Press the 'On/Off' button to turn off the ice maker.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning and maintenance are crucial for optimal performance and longevity of your ice maker.
- Self-Cleaning Cycle: The ice maker features a built-in self-cleaning system. To activate, ensure the water reservoir is filled, then press the 'Clean' button. The machine will run a cycle to clean internal components.
- Descaling: To minimize limescale buildup, descale your machine once a month. If you live in an area with hard water, descaling every two to three weeks is recommended.
- Water Scale Inhibitor: For best results and to further reduce scale buildup, use a water scale inhibitor. Contact customer service for a complimentary sample after purchase.

- Draining Water: The machine has a drainage hose on the back. To drain water, pull out the tube bracket from the back of the machine and allow all water to drain into a sink or container.

7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Gevi Nugget Ice Maker, please refer to the following common solutions:
- False Low-Water Alarm: If the 'Add Water' indicator light is on despite the water tank being full, this may be a false alarm.
- Turn off the ice maker for 30 minutes.
- Open the door and remove the ice bin.
- Pull out the tube bracket from the back of the machine and drain all water from the tank.
- Remove the filter from the water inlet area and clean it thoroughly with a brush to remove any clogs or debris.
- Use a toothpick to gently rotate the water inlet area to check if the pump is blocked.
- Reinstall the cleaned filter.
- Refill the water tank with clean water to the recommended level.
- Restart the ice maker. If the alarm disappears, the problem is resolved.
