1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your BSEED WiFi Smart Light Switch with integrated socket. This device allows for smart control of your lighting and connected appliances via touch, mobile application, and voice commands through compatible smart assistants.

2. Safety Information

4. Installation and Setup

4.2 Wiring Instructions

1. Turn off Power: Locate the circuit breaker controlling the switch you are replacing and turn off the power. Verify power is off using a voltage tester.
2. Remove Old Switch: Carefully remove the existing wall plate and switch from the wall box. Disconnect the wires.
3. Connect Wires: Connect the wires to the BSEED Smart Switch according to the wiring diagram provided in the welcome guide. Typically, this involves connecting Live (Load), Neutral, and Ground wires. Ensure all connections are secure.
4. Mount Switch: Gently push the switch into the wall box and secure it with the provided screws. Attach the new wall plate.
5. Restore Power: Turn the power back on at the circuit breaker.

4.3 App Pairing and Smart Assistant Integration

1. Download App: Download the Tuya Smart app (or a compatible smart home app) from your mobile device's app store (iOS or Android).
2. Register/Login: Open the app and register for a new account or log in if you already have one.
3. Add Device: Follow the in-app instructions to add a new device. The switch will typically enter pairing mode when first powered on or by pressing and holding the touch button for a few seconds.
4. Connect to Wi-Fi: Ensure your phone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. The app will guide you through connecting the smart switch to your home Wi-Fi.
5. Integrate with Smart Assistants:
   • For Amazon Alexa: Open the Alexa app, go to 'Skills & Games', search for 'Tuya Smart' (or your specific app), enable the skill, and link your account. Then, 'Discover Devices'.
   • For Google Assistant: Open the Google Home app, tap 'Add' > 'Set up device' > 'Works with Google', search for 'Tuya Smart' (or your specific app), link your account.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Manual Touch Control

The light switch and socket can be controlled directly by touching the respective touch areas on the tempered glass panel. A light touch will toggle the connected device on or off.

5.2 Mobile App Control

Through the Tuya Smart app, you can:

• Remote Control: Turn the light switch and socket on/off from anywhere with an internet connection.
• Individual Control: Control the light switch and the socket independently.
• Group Control: Group multiple BSEED devices together for simultaneous control.
• Status Monitoring: View the real-time on/off status of your connected devices.
• Family Sharing: Share control of the device with family members through the app.

5.3 Voice Control

Once integrated with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant, you can use voice commands to control your light switch and socket. Examples:

• "Alexa, turn on the living room light."

5.4 Timing Function

Set schedules for your light switch and socket to automatically turn on or off at specific times. This feature helps save energy and automate your daily routines.

6. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and proper functioning of your BSEED Smart Light Switch and Socket:

• Clean the tempered glass panel with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Do not expose the device to excessive moisture or extreme temperatures.
• Regularly check for any loose connections or signs of damage. If damage is found, disconnect power and contact support.

7. Troubleshooting

• Device not responding: Check if the power is on at the circuit breaker. Ensure the device is properly wired. Try restarting the device by cycling the power.
• Cannot connect to Wi-Fi: Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. Check your Wi-Fi password. Move the device closer to your router. Reset the device to pairing mode and try again.
• Voice control not working: Verify that the Tuya Smart skill/service is enabled and linked in your Alexa or Google Home app. Ensure your voice commands are clear and match the device name set in the app.
• App shows device offline: Check your home Wi-Fi connection. Ensure the device has power. Restart the app.
