Maintenance
Water Treatment and Filtration
The spa is equipped with a Saltwater System and an Electronic Hard Water Treatment System. The saltwater system provides natural chlorine for sanitation, while the hard water treatment system reduces calcium buildup, extending the life of your spa and making water gentler on skin. Regularly check water chemistry using test strips and adjust as needed.

Filter cartridges should be cleaned regularly and replaced when necessary to ensure optimal water quality and pump performance. The integrated control box design allows for easy filter replacement.
Spa Cover and Heat Retention
Utilize the energy-efficient spa cover and ground cloth to minimize heat loss and improve energy efficiency by up to 50%. Always cover the spa when not in use, especially during colder temperatures, to maintain water temperature and reduce energy consumption.

Troubleshooting
- Spa Not Heating / Error Codes: If the spa stops heating or displays an error code, first try unplugging the spa from the power outlet for a few minutes, then plug it back in. This often clears temporary errors. Refer to the full manual for specific error code meanings and solutions.
- Water Quality Issues: If water appears cloudy or unbalanced, check filter cartridges for cleanliness and replace if needed. Test water chemistry (pH, alkalinity, chlorine/salt levels) and adjust using appropriate spa chemicals. Ensure the saltwater system is functioning correctly if applicable.
- Slow Heating: Ensure the spa cover is properly secured when not in use. Verify the ambient temperature is within the recommended operating range. For initial fills, consider using warm water to reduce heating time.
- Inflation Issues: If the spa does not inflate properly, check connections between the inflation hose and the spa/control unit. Ensure the control unit is powered.
For persistent issues, consult the comprehensive troubleshooting guide in the complete product manual or contact Intex customer support.
