Important Safety Information
- Always place the scale on a hard, flat, and stable surface. Using it on soft surfaces like carpet may result in inaccurate readings.

- Do not jump on the scale or subject it to sudden impacts, as this may damage the device or cause injury.
- Keep the scale out of reach of small children.

Setup
Unboxing and Initial Setup
Carefully remove the scale from its packaging. Remove any protective films or stickers from the display and platform.

Battery Installation
Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the scale. If present, remove the insulator strip from the battery compartment. Ensure three 1.5V AAA batteries are correctly inserted according to the polarity markings.
First Use and Calibration
Before the first use, or if the scale has been moved, it needs to be calibrated. Gently tap the scale with your foot to turn it on, then step off. Wait for the display to show "0.0" before proceeding with your first measurement. This ensures accurate readings.
Operating Instructions
Taking a Measurement
Place the scale on a hard, flat surface. Step onto the scale barefoot, ensuring your feet are evenly placed on the platform. Stand still until the display shows a stable weight reading. The display will flash several times before showing your final measurement.
Changing Units (Pounds/Kilograms)
The Runstar scale allows you to switch between pounds (lb) and kilograms (kg). Locate the "UNIT" button on the underside of the scale. Press this button to cycle through the available measurement units until your desired unit is displayed.
Consistent Weighing Practices
For the most accurate and consistent weight tracking, it is recommended to weigh yourself at the same time each day, preferably in the morning before eating or drinking, and after using the restroom. Wear similar clothing (or no clothing) for each measurement.

Cleaning
To clean your scale, wipe the surface with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or immerse the scale in water. Ensure the scale is completely dry before storage or next use.
Battery Replacement
When the display shows "Lo", it indicates that the batteries are low and need to be replaced. Open the battery compartment on the underside of the scale and replace the old batteries with three new 1.5V AAA batteries, observing correct polarity.
