4. Setup

4.1 Placement

The Hisense HS2000 Soundbar is designed for table mounting. Place the soundbar on a stable, flat surface directly in front of your television for the best audio experience. Ensure there is adequate space around the soundbar for proper ventilation.

4.2 Connecting to Your TV

You can connect the soundbar to your TV using various methods:

  • HDMI (Recommended): Connect an HDMI cable (not included) from the HDMI ARC/eARC port on your TV to the HDMI OUT (ARC) port on the soundbar. This allows for high-quality audio transmission and control of the soundbar with your TV remote.
  • Optical: Connect an optical cable (not included) from the Optical Digital Audio Out port on your TV to the OPTICAL IN port on the soundbar.
  • Auxiliary: Connect a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) from the Audio Out port on your TV to the AUX IN port on the soundbar.

4.3 Power Connection

After connecting the soundbar to your TV, plug the supplied power cable into the AC IN port on the soundbar and then into a wall outlet. The soundbar will enter standby mode.

4.4 Initial Setup and EzPlay

Once powered on, the soundbar will automatically detect the input source. If you have a Hisense TV, the EzPlay feature allows you to control the soundbar's sound modes and settings directly from your TV remote. Simply access the soundbar setup menu on your Hisense TV to optimize audio and dialogue.

5. Operating

5.1 Remote Control Functions

Use the included remote control to manage your soundbar. Key functions include:

  • Power: Turn the soundbar on or off.
  • Volume +/-: Adjust the master volume level.
  • Input: Select the audio input source (HDMI, Optical, Aux, Bluetooth, Coaxial).
  • Mute: Mute or unmute the sound.
  • Sound Modes: Cycle through various sound modes like Movie, Music, News, and TV Mode.

5.2 Sound Modes

The HS2000 offers several sound modes to optimize your listening experience:

  • Dolby Audio / DTS Digital Surround: Provides an immersive 3D sound experience.
  • TV Mode: Enhances audio when paired with a Hisense TV, leveraging Dolby Atmos features.

5.3 Bluetooth Pairing

To connect a Bluetooth device:
