- 4G/LTE: Indicates 4G LTE signal strength and connection.
Ports and Buttons
- Micro SIM Card Slot: Insert your 4G LTE Micro SIM card here.
- LAN/WAN Ports: Ethernet ports for wired connections. One port can function as a WAN port for a wired internet source.
- Power Input: Connect the provided power adapter.
- WPS/Reset Button: Press for WPS function; press and hold for factory reset.
Setup
Step 1: Insert SIM Card
Ensure the router is powered off. Locate the Micro SIM card slot on the side of the router. Gently insert your 4G LTE Micro SIM card into the slot until it clicks into place. Ensure the card is oriented correctly as indicated by the diagram near the slot.

Figure 3: SIM Card Insertion. This image illustrates the correct method for inserting a Micro SIM card into the router's dedicated slot.
Step 2: Power On the Router
Connect the provided power adapter to the router's power input port and then plug the adapter into a standard electrical outlet. The Power LED indicator should light up.
Step 3: Connect to the Internet
The router will automatically detect the 4G LTE network and establish an internet connection. The 4G/LTE LED and Internet LED should turn solid, indicating a successful connection. If you prefer a wired WAN connection, connect an Ethernet cable from your modem or wall jack to the LAN/WAN port on the router.

Figure 4: WAN Connection Backup. This image demonstrates how the router can utilize a wired Ethernet WAN connection as an alternative or backup internet source.
Step 4: Connect Devices to Wi-Fi
Locate the Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password printed on the label at the bottom of the router. On your device (smartphone, laptop, etc.), select the router's Wi-Fi network from the available networks list and enter the password to connect.

Figure 5: Key Features Overview. This infographic summarizes the router's capabilities, including its 4G LTE speed, Wi-Fi performance, SIM card functionality, signal strength, device capacity, and WAN connection option.
Operating the Router
Accessing the Web Management Interface
To configure advanced settings, open a web browser on a device connected to the router's network. Type the default access address (usually 192.168.1.1 or mwlogin.net) into the address bar and press Enter. Log in using the default username and password (often admin/admin or found on the router's label).
Wi-Fi Settings
- Change SSID and Password: Navigate to the Wireless settings to customize your Wi-Fi network name and password for enhanced security.
- Guest Network: Create a separate network for guests to provide internet access without sharing your main network resources.
- WPS Function: Press the WPS/Reset button on the router and then the WPS button on your client device to quickly connect without entering a password.
Network Modes
The router primarily operates as a 4G LTE router. It can also function as a standard wireless router by connecting an Ethernet cable to the LAN/WAN port, allowing it to use a wired internet source instead of the 4G LTE connection.

Maintenance
- Regular Firmware Updates: Check the Mercusys official website for the latest firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Cleanliness: Keep the router in a clean, dust-free environment. Avoid blocking ventilation holes.
- Proper Placement: Place the router in a central location, away from obstructions and sources of interference (e.g., microwaves, cordless phones) to maximize Wi-Fi coverage.
- Rebooting: Periodically reboot the router by unplugging it from the power outlet for 10 seconds and then plugging it back in. This can resolve minor network issues.
Troubleshooting
No Internet Access
- Check if the 4G/LTE LED is solid. If not, ensure the SIM card is properly inserted and activated with your mobile carrier.
- Verify that the Internet LED is solid. If not, check your SIM card's data plan and signal strength.
- If using a wired WAN connection, ensure the Ethernet cable is securely connected and your modem is working correctly.
- Try rebooting the router and your connected devices.
Weak Wi-Fi Signal
- Relocate the router to a more central position in your home or office.
- Avoid placing the router near large metal objects, concrete walls, or other electronic devices that may cause interference.
- Ensure your devices are within the router's Wi-Fi range.
Cannot Access Web Management Interface
- Ensure your device is connected to the router's network (either via Wi-Fi or Ethernet).
- Verify that you are using the correct access address (e.g., 192.168.1.1 or mwlogin.net).
- Clear your browser's cache and cookies, or try a different browser.
- If you forgot the login password, perform a factory reset by pressing and holding the WPS/Reset button for approximately 6-8 seconds until the LEDs flash. Note that a factory reset will erase all custom settings.
