1. Product Overview

The Firecore HV-5G is a high-precision 5-line green laser level designed for various construction, DIY, and measurement tasks. It features advanced technology for accuracy, durability, and ease of use.

2. Setup

2.1 Battery Installation

Before initial use, ensure the battery is correctly installed. The Firecore HV-5G can use either the provided rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack or 4 AA alkaline batteries (sold separately).

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the unit.
2. Ensure the locking knob is in the "open" position (unlocked).
3. Insert the battery pack or 4 AA alkaline batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-).
4. Close the battery compartment and turn the locking knob to the "closed" position (locked) to secure the battery.

2.2 Mounting the Device

The HV-5G can be placed on a flat surface or mounted on a tripod for stable operation.

• For tripod mounting, screw the device onto a compatible tripod using the threaded mount at the bottom.
• Ensure the tripod is stable and on a level surface to facilitate accurate self-leveling.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Power On/Off and Mode Selection

To power on the device, slide the main switch to the "ON" position. The device will automatically enter self-leveling mode. To power off, slide the switch to "OFF".

• Self-Leveling Mode: When powered on, the device automatically levels itself within ±3°. If the tilt exceeds this range, the laser lines will blink to indicate an out-of-level condition.
• Line Fixing (Manual) Mode: To project inclined lines, press and hold the mode button (often indicated by a padlock icon or 'M') for a few seconds until the laser lines stop blinking and remain solid. This disables the self-leveling function.
• Pulse Mode: For outdoor use or when using a laser receiver, activate pulse mode by pressing the dedicated pulse mode button. This enhances the laser's visibility for the receiver.
• Line Selection: Press the horizontal (H) or vertical (V) buttons to toggle specific laser lines on or off, allowing you to customize the projection based on your task.

3.2 Fine Adjustment

The 360° fine-tuning knob allows for precise adjustments of the laser lines without moving the entire unit, ensuring accurate alignment.

• Rotate the fine-tuning knob clockwise or counter-clockwise to make small, precise adjustments to the horizontal or vertical laser lines.

4. Maintenance

• Keep the laser level clean and free from dust and debris. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
• Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight for extended periods.
• Store the device in its protective case when not in use to prevent damage.
• Remove batteries if the device will not be used for a long period to prevent leakage.

5. Troubleshooting

Common Issues and Solutions:

• Laser lines are blinking:
  • In self-leveling mode, this indicates the device is tilted beyond its ±3° auto-correction range. Adjust the device's position until the lines become solid.
  • Ensure the main switch is fully in the "ON" position.
• No laser lines:
  • Check if the device is powered on and the battery is charged or correctly installed.
  • Ensure the selected lines (H/V) are activated.
• Laser lines are dim:
  • Check battery level; low battery can affect laser brightness.
  • Ensure you are not in pulse mode without a receiver, as lines may appear dimmer to the naked eye.
