  1. Extend the ISOFIX connectors from the car seat base by pressing the release buttons (refer to the car seat base for button location).

  6. Attach the Top Tether hook to the designated Top Tether anchor point in your vehicle (usually located on the back of the vehicle seat or parcel shelf).

4.3. Rear-Facing Installation (40-105 cm)

For children between 40 and 105 cm, the car seat must be installed in a rear-facing position. This provides optimal protection for infants and toddlers.

  1. Ensure the car seat is securely installed using ISOFIX and Top Tether as described in Section 4.2.
  2. Rotate the car seat to the rear-facing position.
  3. Adjust the recline position to the most reclined setting suitable for newborns and young infants.
  4. Use the infant insert for children under 60 cm to ensure proper head and body support.
  5. Secure your child with the 5-point harness, ensuring the straps are at or slightly below shoulder level.

4.4. Forward-Facing Installation (76-150 cm)

For children between 76 and 150 cm, the car seat can be installed in a forward-facing position. For children 76-105 cm, use the 5-point harness. For children 100-150 cm, the 5-point harness should be stored, and the child secured with the vehicle's 3-point seat belt.

  1. Ensure the car seat is securely installed using ISOFIX and Top Tether as described in Section 4.2.
  2. Rotate the car seat to the forward-facing position.
  3. Adjust the headrest so that the shoulder straps (for 5-point harness use) are at or slightly above shoulder level.
  4. For children 76-105 cm: Secure your child with the 5-point harness.
  5. For children 100-150 cm: Store the 5-point harness (refer to Section 5.3) and secure your child with the vehicle's 3-point seat belt. Ensure the vehicle seat belt passes through the designated guides on the car seat and over the child's shoulder and lap correctly.

5. Operating the Car Seat

5.1. 360° Rotation

The car seat can be rotated 360° on its base for easy access to your child. To rotate:

  1. Ensure the vehicle is stationary and safe.
  2. Locate the rotation release lever (usually at the front or side of the base).
  3. Press the lever and rotate the seat to the desired position (e.g., facing the car door for child placement, or rear/forward-facing for travel).
  4. Release the lever and ensure the seat locks securely into place before driving.

  • Headrest and Harness Height: To adjust the headrest and harness height simultaneously, locate the adjustment lever at the top of the headrest. Squeeze the lever and slide the headrest up or down until the shoulder straps are at the correct height for your child (at or slightly below shoulder level for rear-facing, at or slightly above for forward-facing with harness).
  • Harness Tightness: To tighten the 5-point harness, pull the adjustment strap located at the front of the car seat. To loosen, press the harness release button (usually under a flap) and pull the shoulder straps forward. Ensure the harness is snug, with no more than two fingers fitting between the strap and your child's collarbone.
  • Recline Positions: The backrest has 5 adjustable recline positions. Locate the recline adjustment handle (usually under the front edge of the seat). Pull the handle and adjust the seat to the desired recline angle. Ensure it locks securely into place.

5.3. Storing the 5-Point Harness (for 100-150 cm use)

When your child reaches 100 cm in height, the 5-point harness should be stored, and the child secured using the vehicle's 3-point seat belt. Refer to the car seat's specific instructions for harness storage. Typically, the harness straps and buckle are tucked into designated compartments within the seat padding.

6. Maintenance

6.1. Cleaning the Cover

The car seat cover is removable and washable.

  1. Carefully remove the cover from the car seat. Refer to the labels on the cover for specific washing instructions.
  2. Typically, the cover can be machine washed on a gentle cycle with cold water and mild detergent. Do not bleach, tumble dry, or iron.
  3. Allow the cover to air dry completely before reattaching it to the car seat.

6.2. Cleaning the Harness and Plastic Parts

  • Wipe plastic parts with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Clean the harness straps with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not machine wash or submerge the harness straps, as this can weaken the material.
  • Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembly and use.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Car seat feels loose after installation: Double-check that the ISOFIX connectors are fully engaged (green indicators visible) and the Top Tether is taut. Ensure there is no slack in the vehicle seat belt if used for older children.
  • Harness is difficult to adjust: Ensure the harness is not twisted. Check for any obstructions in the adjustment mechanism. If using the 5-point harness, ensure the child is seated correctly and the harness release button is fully pressed when loosening.
  • Seat does not rotate: Ensure the rotation release lever is fully engaged. Check for any obstructions preventing rotation. The seat may only rotate when in certain recline positions or when not under load.
  • Child's head slumps forward: For rear-facing infants, ensure the recline is set to the most reclined position and the infant insert is correctly used. For older children, adjust the headrest to provide proper support.
