1. Product Overview & Setup

The MESCOMB 5-in-1 Hot Air Styler is a versatile hair styling tool designed for fast drying, curling, volumizing, and smoothing. It features a high-speed motor and interchangeable attachments to achieve various styles with minimal heat damage.

Assembly:

1. Ensure the main styler handle is unplugged from the power outlet.
2. Align the desired attachment with the top of the main styler handle.
3. Push the attachment firmly onto the handle until it clicks into place. A secure connection is essential for proper operation.
4. To remove an attachment, press the release button located on the back of the main handle and gently pull the attachment off.

2. Operating Instructions

Before use, ensure your hair is clean and towel-dried. For best results with curling, hair should be slightly damp. Apply any preferred styling products as desired.

Power & Temperature Settings:

• Plug the device into a standard electrical outlet.
• Use the power button to turn the device ON/OFF.
• Adjust the airflow speed using the dedicated speed settings (Low, Medium, High).
• Select your desired temperature setting:
• COLD AIR: Ambient temperature for setting styles.
• WARM (160°F): Gentle heat for delicate hair.
• HOT (210°F): Higher heat for faster drying and styling.

Using the Attachments:

Hair Dryer Nozzle:

Use this attachment to quickly dry hair before styling or for a smooth finish. Direct the airflow towards your hair, moving the styler continuously to prevent overheating.

Auto-Wrap Curlers (Left & Right):

These curlers utilize airflow to automatically wrap hair, creating effortless curls. Use the curler marked for the left side of your face for curls away from your face on the left, and the right-side curler for curls away from your face on the right.

• Hold a 1/2"-1" section of hair, letting the ends dangle.
• Bring the barrel behind the dangling ends. The hair will automatically wrap around the barrel.
• Slowly bring the barrel to the roots. Hold for 10-15 seconds.
• Press the Cool Shot button for at least 10 seconds to set the curl.
• Turn off the styling wand and pull the barrel straight down to release the curl.

Volumizing Round Brush:

Ideal for adding volume and shape. Use on damp hair, lifting sections from the roots and brushing outwards while applying heat.

Smoothing Paddle Brush:

Designed to straighten and smooth hair, reducing frizz and enhancing shine. Brush through sections of hair from root to tip while applying heat.

3. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your MESCOMB Hot Air Styler.

Cleaning the Air Inlet Filter:

The styler features a detachable air inlet filter for easy cleaning. Regularly remove any accumulated dust or lint to maintain airflow and prevent overheating.

• Unplug the device from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely.
• Twist the bottom part of the handle to unlock and remove the air inlet filter.
• Use a soft brush or cloth to gently clean any dust or hair from the filter.
• Reattach the filter by aligning it and twisting to lock it back into place.

General Care:

• Wipe the styler and attachments with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the device in water.
• Store the styler and its attachments in the provided travel bag to protect them from dust and damage.
• Avoid wrapping the power cord tightly around the device, as this can damage the cord.

Device Won't Turn On / ALCI Plug Red Light Flashing:

If the ALCI (Appliance Leakage Current Interrupter) plug's red light is flashing rapidly, it indicates a safety shutoff. This is normal and designed to protect against electrical hazards.

• Simply press the red button on the ALCI plug to reset and restore power.

Difficulty Inserting Hot Air Brush Attachment:

If you are having trouble inserting the hot air brush attachment, ensure proper alignment.

• Ensure the head of the brush is properly aligned with the front of the main handle.
• Then, rotate the main body to the unlocked position, allowing the attachment to slide in easily.
• Once inserted, rotate it back to the locked position to secure it.

Tips for Long-Lasting Curls:

• Preparation: Start with clean, dry hair for better curl retention. Hair should be slightly damp, not too wet or too dry. Apply heat protectant to prevent damage.
• Styling Technique: Divide hair into small sections for defined curls. Position hair at the barrel's front; it will wrap automatically. Hold for 10-15 seconds. Adjust heat settings according to hair type (lower for fine hair, higher for thick).
• Finishing Touches: Let curls cool completely for lasting shape. Use a light setting spray to maintain style. Apply flexible hairspray to hold curls without stiffness.
