4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Camera

Before first use, fully charge the camera. Connect the provided charging cord to the camera's USB port and to a power source (e.g., computer USB port or USB wall adapter). The indicator light will show charging status and turn off when fully charged.

4.2 Inserting/Removing Micro SD Card

The camera comes with a 32GB Micro SD card pre-installed. If you need to replace or remove it:

1. Locate the Micro SD card slot on the camera.
2. To insert, gently push the card into the slot until it clicks into place. Ensure the correct orientation.
3. To remove, gently push the card inwards again until it springs out slightly, then pull it out.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

• Power On: Press and hold the power button for a few seconds until the indicator light illuminates.
• Power Off: Press and hold the power button for a few seconds until the indicator light flashes and then turns off.

5.2 Video Recording

Once powered on, the camera is typically in standby mode. To start video recording, press the video record button. The indicator light will change to indicate recording is in progress. Press the button again to stop recording.

5.3 Taking Photos

In standby mode, press the photo button once to capture a still image. The indicator light may flash briefly to confirm the photo has been taken.

5.4 Smart PIR Motion Detection

The camera features a PIR (Passive Infrared) motion detection function. When enabled, the camera will automatically start recording when it detects movement in its field of view, conserving battery and storage space.

5.5 Loop Storage

The camera supports loop recording. When the 32GB Micro SD card is full, the camera will automatically overwrite the oldest video files to make space for new recordings. This ensures continuous recording without manual storage management.

5.6 Accessing Files

To view or transfer recorded files:

1. Direct Connection: Connect the camera to your computer using the provided USB cable. The camera should appear as a removable disk, allowing you to access the files.
2. SD Card Reader: Remove the Micro SD card from the camera and insert it into an SD card reader (not included) connected to your computer.

5.7 Time Stamp

The camera can embed a time stamp on your recordings. To set or adjust the time stamp, connect the camera to a computer. Open the file named <<settime>> (or similar) and edit the text file to set the correct date and time. Save the file to apply the changes.

6. Maintenance

• Keep the camera clean. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the lens and body. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
• Store the camera in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Avoid dropping or subjecting the camera to strong impacts.
• Regularly back up important footage from the Micro SD card to prevent data loss.
• Ensure the charging port is free from dust and debris.

7. Troubleshooting

• Camera not turning on: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect to a power source and try again. If unresponsive, use the reset pin to press the reset button.
• Cannot record: Check if the Micro SD card is properly inserted and has sufficient free space. If loop recording is enabled, older files will be overwritten.
• Poor video/photo quality: Ensure the lens is clean and free from smudges. Check lighting conditions.
• Computer not recognizing camera: Try a different USB port or cable. Ensure the camera is powered on when connected.
