1. Introduction
This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation of your Orion Motor Tech 8kW Portable Diesel Heater. Please read this manual thoroughly before installation, operation, or maintenance to ensure proper usage and prevent potential hazards. Keep this manual for future reference.
2. Important Safety Warnings
- Carbon Monoxide (CO) Hazard: This heater produces exhaust gases containing carbon monoxide. Always ensure adequate ventilation when operating the heater. The included CO alarm must be installed and maintained according to its instructions.
- Fire Hazard: Ensure the heater is placed on a stable, non-combustible surface. Keep flammable materials at a safe distance. The heater features a flame-retardant casing and automatic shutoff if temperatures exceed 518°F (270°C).
- Fuel Handling: Use only diesel fuel. Do not overfill the tank. Refuel in a well-ventilated area away from ignition sources.
- Electrical Safety: Connect the heater to appropriate power sources (12V/24V DC or 110V AC) as specified. Ensure all electrical connections are secure and correct.
- Exhaust Management: The exhaust pipe must be routed safely to the outside to prevent exhaust gases from entering enclosed spaces.
- Children and Pets: Keep children and pets away from the heater during operation.

4. Setup
4.1 Initial Placement
Place the heater on a flat, stable surface. Ensure there is sufficient clearance around the unit for proper airflow and to prevent overheating of surrounding objects.
4.2 Connecting Air Intake and Heat Exhaust
Attach the air intake pipe to the designated port on the heater. Secure it with a hose clamp. Connect the heat exhaust duct to the hot air outlet and direct it towards the area to be heated. The exhaust pipe with muffler should be connected to the exhaust port and routed outside to safely expel combustion gases.
