1. Introduction

Key features include a 52-degree Field of View (FoV), advanced 6 DoF tracking, hand tracking, spatial anchors, depth mesh, and TUV certifications for eye comfort. They are compatible with a wide range of devices, providing a versatile platform for various applications.

2. What's Included

Upon unboxing your XREAL Air 2 Ultra AR Glasses, please verify that all the following components are present:

  • XREAL Air 2 Ultra Glasses
  • USB-C cable
  • Cleaning cloth
  • Protective case
  • User manual (this document)
  • Nose pad (S/M/L sizes)
  • Prescription Lens Frame (details available through XREAL partners)

3. Setup

To begin using your XREAL Air 2 Ultra AR Glasses, follow these setup instructions:

  1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove all items from the packaging.
  2. Select Nose Pad: Choose the nose pad size (S, M, or L) that provides the most comfortable and secure fit for your face. Attach it to the glasses.
  3. Connect to Device: The XREAL Air 2 Ultra connects via a USB-C DisplayPort cable. Connect one end of the provided USB-C cable to the glasses and the other end to a compatible device.
  4. Compatible Devices:
    • Spatial Computing: Samsung S22 (OneUI 5.1, Snapdragon), Samsung S23 (OneUI 5.1/6.0, Snapdragon). An XREAL custom computing unit is also under development for enhanced AR experiences.
    • Screen Mirroring (USB-C Video Output/HDMI Output): iPhone (with adapter), Android phones, MacBook, Steam Deck, ROG Ally, Windows PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox.
    • Enhanced Experiences: XREAL Beam (for 3DoF), Nebula for Mac Beta (for 6 DoF).
  5. Initial Power On: Once connected, the glasses should power on automatically. If not, refer to the Operating section for button functions.

4. Operating the Glasses

The XREAL Air 2 Ultra AR Glasses are designed for intuitive operation, offering various modes for different uses.

4.1 Basic Controls

  • Multi-functional Key:
    • Single click: Switches between dimming levels (0%, 35%, 100% transparency).
    • Double-click: Turns the display on or off.
  • Up/Down Buttons: Used for navigation or volume control depending on the connected device and application.

  • Flickering Display:
    • Check the USB-C cable for any damage or loose connections.
    • Ensure your host device's display settings are compatible with the glasses' resolution (3088x1728).
  • No Audio:
    • Verify that the volume on your host device is not muted or set too low.
    • Check the audio output settings on your host device to ensure audio is routed to the glasses.
  • Unresponsive Controls:
    • Disconnect and reconnect the glasses from your host device.
    • Restart your host device.
  • Compatibility Issues:
    • Refer to Section 3. Setup for a list of compatible devices and operating system requirements. Ensure your device meets these specifications.
    • Update your device's operating system and drivers to the latest versions.
