5. Initial Setup
5.1. Battery Installation
- Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the unit.
- Insert 6 LR6 (AA) batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
5.2. SD Card Insertion
- Locate the SD card slot on the side of the unit.
- Insert the provided 2GB SD card until it clicks into place.
- To remove, push the card gently until it ejects.

- Connect the clamp sensors to the designated current input terminals (A1-A4).

6.1. Power On/Off
Press and hold the POWER button to turn the unit on or off.
6.2. Measurement Modes

- Iom: Leakage current with harmonics
- R: Insulation resistance (determined by V and Ior)

6.3. Data Logging
To start logging data, press the START/STOP button. Press it again to stop logging. Logged data is saved to the SD card.
6.4. Data Transfer and Analysis
Connect the KEW 5050 to a PC using the USB cable. Use the KEW Windows software to download, view, and analyze the logged data. The software supports automatic generation of graphs and reports.
