4. Setup

  1. Place the electric hot plate on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
  2. Insert the stainless steel rack into the larger water boiler pot.
  3. Pour water into the water boiler pot, ensuring it does not exceed the level of the rack.
  4. Place the smaller 32oz/900ml melting pot onto the rack inside the water boiler pot.
  5. Plug the electric hot plate into a suitable power outlet.
  6. Prepare your candle containers by attaching wicks using the provided glue stickers and securing them with wick holders.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Melting Wax

  1. Add your desired wax (soy, beeswax, coconut, gel) into the smaller melting pot.
  2. Turn the electric hot plate dial to your desired heat setting (1-6). Setting 6 is the hottest.
  3. Monitor the wax temperature using the provided thermometer. Recommended melting points: Soy Wax 46-55°C, Beeswax 62-67°C, Coconut Wax 45°C, Gel Wax 60-80°C.
  4. Stir the wax occasionally with the stainless steel stirring spoon to ensure even melting.
  5. Once the wax is fully melted and reaches the desired temperature, turn off the hot plate and carefully remove the melting pot using the handle.

5.2 Pouring and Finishing Candles

  1. If adding fragrance or dye, do so after the wax is fully melted and has cooled slightly to the recommended pouring temperature (check wax manufacturer guidelines). Stir thoroughly.
  2. Carefully pour the melted wax into your prepared candle containers.
  3. Allow the wax to cool and solidify completely. This may take several hours depending on the wax type and container size.
  4. If the candle surface is uneven after cooling, use the hot air gun to gently melt the top layer until smooth. Hold the heat gun a safe distance away to avoid overheating.
  5. Trim the wick to approximately 1/4 inch before lighting.
