Operating Instructions
1. Starting the Chainsaw
- Ensure the battery is fully charged and securely installed.
- Engage the chain brake by pushing the front hand guard forward.
- Hold the chainsaw firmly with both hands.
- To start, disengage the chain brake by pulling the front hand guard back towards the handle.
- Press the trigger lockout button (if present) and then squeeze the trigger. The chain will begin to move.
2. Cutting Techniques
- Felling: For felling small trees, make a directional notch on the side of the fall, then make a felling cut from the opposite side, slightly above the notch.
- Limbing: Remove branches from a felled tree. Work from the base towards the top, cutting smaller branches first. Be aware of spring-back from tensioned branches.
- Bucking: Cutting a felled log into shorter sections. Support the log to prevent pinching the chain. Cut from the top down or bottom up depending on log support.
- Always maintain a firm grip and balanced stance. Let the chainsaw do the work; do not force it.
3. Stopping the Chainsaw
- Release the trigger. The chain will stop.
- Engage the chain brake by pushing the front hand guard forward.
- For extended breaks or storage, remove the battery pack.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your chainsaw. Always remove the battery before performing any maintenance.
1. Chain Sharpening
- A sharp chain is crucial for safe and efficient cutting. Sharpen the chain regularly or when cutting performance decreases.
- Refer to the chain manufacturer's instructions for the correct file size and sharpening angle.
- Alternatively, have the chain professionally sharpened.
2. Guide Bar Maintenance
- Clean the guide bar groove regularly to remove sawdust and debris.
- Flip the guide bar periodically to ensure even wear.
- Check the guide bar for burrs or damage. File down any burrs.
3. Cleaning and Storage
- After each use, clean the chainsaw thoroughly, removing sawdust, sap, and debris from the motor housing, chain, and guide bar.
- Use a damp cloth and mild detergent if necessary. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Store the chainsaw in a dry, secure location, out of reach of children and away from direct sunlight or extreme temperatures.
- Remove the battery pack before storing for extended periods.
