3. Adjusting the Bracelet

The NIXON Frankie features a 3-link bracelet with a butterfly clasp. For optimal comfort and fit, the bracelet may need to be adjusted. This typically involves removing or adding links. Operating Your Watch

Basic Timekeeping

Your NIXON Frankie watch is an analog timepiece powered by a precise Miyota 5Y36 Japanese quartz movement. It displays hours and minutes using two hands on the dial.

Water Resistance

This watch is water resistant up to 100 meters (10 ATM). This rating means it is suitable for showering, swimming, and snorkeling. However, it is not suitable for high-impact water sports, diving, or prolonged submersion. Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in before any contact with water. Do not operate the crown while the watch is wet or submerged.

Maintenance and Care

Cleaning Your Watch

  • Case and Crystal: Wipe the watch case and mineral glass crystal with a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn dirt, a mild soap solution can be used, followed by rinsing with clean water and drying thoroughly.
  • Metal Bracelet: Clean the metal bracelet with a soft brush and mild soapy water to remove dirt and debris from the links. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely to prevent water spots or corrosion.

Battery Replacement

The watch is powered by a quartz battery. When the watch stops running, the battery will need to be replaced. It is highly recommended to have battery replacement performed by an authorized NIXON service center or a qualified watchmaker to ensure proper sealing and maintain water resistance.

Storage

When not wearing your watch for extended periods, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and strong magnetic fields. The original watch box is ideal for storage.

Troubleshooting

  • Watch not running: Ensure the crown is fully pushed into the case. If it is, the battery may need replacement.
  • Inaccurate time: Check if the crown is fully pushed in. If the watch is consistently losing or gaining time, the battery may be low, or the movement may require servicing. Exposure to strong magnetic fields can also affect accuracy.
  • Condensation under crystal: This indicates a loss of water resistance. Immediately contact NIXON customer service or an authorized service center. Do not attempt to open the watch yourself.
