  • Optimal Placement: Ensure Deco units are placed in open areas, away from obstructions like large metal objects or thick walls, to maximize Wi-Fi signal propagation.
  • Cleanliness: Periodically clean the exterior of the Deco units with a soft, dry cloth to prevent dust buildup, which can affect performance.
  • Avoid Overheating: Ensure proper ventilation around the units. Do not place them in enclosed spaces that could lead to overheating.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Deco X15 system, try the following troubleshooting steps:

  • No Internet Connection: Check the status light on your main Deco unit. If it's red, verify your modem connection and internet service. Restart both your modem and the main Deco unit.
  • Weak Wi-Fi Signal: Relocate Deco units to improve coverage. Use the Deco app's signal strength indicator to find optimal placement. Ensure no major obstructions are blocking the signal.
  • Devices Not Connecting: Restart the problematic device. Ensure the Wi-Fi password is correct. Check the Deco app to see if the device is blocked by parental controls or network security features.
  • Slow Speeds: Run a speed test through the Deco app. Check for high network traffic or too many connected devices. Consider enabling QoS for critical devices.
  • Deco Unit Offline: Check the power connection of the offline unit. If the light is red, try restarting it. Ensure it's within range of another online Deco unit.
