1. Introduction
The PLAYSEAT Seat Slider is an accessory designed to enhance the functionality of your Playseat Evolution and Revolution sim racing chairs. This kit allows for quick and easy adjustment of the seating position, accommodating multiple users with different heights and preferences. It functions similarly to a car seat slider, providing a smooth and secure adjustment mechanism.
2. Safety Information
- Always ensure all screws and fasteners are securely tightened before use.
- Do not attempt to adjust the seat slider while the chair is in motion or occupied.
- Keep hands and fingers clear of moving parts during adjustment.
- Use only with compatible Playseat Evolution and Revolution models.
- If any part is damaged or appears faulty, discontinue use immediately and contact support.
3. Package Contents
Verify that all components are present in the package:
- 1 x PLAYSEAT Seat Slider Assembly
- Mounting Hardware (screws, nuts, washers)
- Instruction Manual (this document)

4. Setup and Installation
The installation of the Playseat Seat Slider is designed to be straightforward, typically taking only a few minutes. Ensure you have the necessary tools, such as Allen wrenches and a box wrench, as these are not included.
- Prepare Your Playseat: If your Playseat is already assembled, you may need to partially disassemble the seat mounting area to access the attachment points. It is often easier to install the slider before fully assembling the chair.
- Position the Slider: Place the seat slider assembly onto the designated mounting points on your Playseat chassis. Ensure the release handle is facing the front of the chair and the 'stickers up' orientation (if present) is followed.
- Secure the Front Bolts: Align the holes and insert the front mounting screws. Hand-tighten them initially.
- Secure the Rear Bolts: To access the rear bolt holes, you may need to slide the seat forward or backward. Some users find it easier to tilt the chair on its side or even upside down to secure these bolts. Ensure the seat is moved smoothly and centered to avoid misalignment.
- Final Tightening: Once all four mounting screws are in place, firmly tighten them using the appropriate tools. Do not overtighten.

5. Operation
The PLAYSEAT Seat Slider allows for quick and precise adjustment of your seating position, similar to a standard car seat. The total range of motion is 230 mm, with approximately 140 mm of forward adjustment and 90 mm of backward adjustment.
- To Adjust Position: Locate the release handle, typically positioned at the front of the seat slider, beneath the seat.
- Engage Release: Squeeze or lift the release handle to disengage the locking mechanism.
- Slide Seat: While holding the handle, slide the seat forward or backward to your desired position. Ensure you move the seat smoothly and in a straight line to prevent it from getting stuck or misaligned.
- Lock Position: Release the handle to lock the seat firmly in place. Verify that the seat is securely locked before use.
6. Maintenance
The PLAYSEAT Seat Slider requires minimal maintenance to ensure long-lasting performance.
- Cleaning: Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or moving parts.
- Inspection: Periodically inspect the slider mechanism and all mounting hardware for any signs of wear, looseness, or damage. Tighten any loose screws as necessary.
- Lubrication: The slider mechanism is pre-lubricated. Additional lubrication is generally not required unless friction is observed. If necessary, use a light, non-corrosive lubricant sparingly on the rails.
7. Troubleshooting
- Seat Does Not Slide Smoothly:
Check for any obstructions on the rails. Ensure the release handle is fully engaged. Verify that the mounting screws are not overtightened, which could cause binding. Clean the rails if dirt or debris is present. - Seat Feels Loose After Adjustment:
Ensure the release handle is fully released and the locking mechanism has engaged. Check all mounting screws for tightness. - Difficulty During Installation:
Ensure the slider is oriented correctly (handle facing front). If struggling with rear bolts, try tilting the chair or accessing from a different angle. Ensure the seat is centered on the rails before tightening to prevent misalignment.
