Thank you for choosing the TOMZON A24 Drone. This manual provides essential information for the safe operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your drone. Please read this manual thoroughly before operating the drone to ensure proper function and to avoid damage or injury. The TOMZON A24 is designed for beginner pilots, offering features like one-key take-off/landing, adjustable speeds, and various flight modes for an engaging experience.

Setup Guide

1. Charging the Drone Battery

Connect the drone battery to the provided USB charging cable. Plug the USB end into a standard USB power adapter (e.g., computer USB port, phone charger). The indicator light on the cable will show charging status. Ensure the battery is fully charged before first use for optimal performance.

2. Installing Drone Battery

Carefully insert the charged battery into the battery compartment on the back of the drone until it clicks into place. Ensure it is securely fastened.

3. Installing Remote Control Batteries

Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote control. Insert 3 AAA batteries (not included) according to the polarity markings (+/-). Close the compartment securely.

4. Propeller Installation/Replacement

The propellers are pre-installed. If replacement is needed, ensure you match the correct propeller (A or B) to the corresponding motor arm. Gently push the propeller onto the motor shaft until it is secure. Refer to the markings on the drone arms and propellers.

Operating Instructions

1. Remote Control Overview

Familiarize yourself with the remote control layout:

  • Left Joystick: Controls altitude (up/down) and rotation (left/right).
  • Right Joystick: Controls forward/backward and left/right movement.
  • One-Key Take-off/Landing Button: Initiates automatic take-off or landing.
  • Speed Switch Button: Toggles between different flight speeds (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced).
  • Trim Buttons: Adjust drone drift for stable flight.
  • Flip Button: Activates 3D flip function.

2. Pairing the Drone and Remote

  1. Place the drone on a flat, level surface.
  2. Turn on the drone by pressing the power button. The drone's lights will flash.
  3. Turn on the remote control.
  4. Push the left joystick all the way up, then all the way down. The drone's lights will stop flashing and become solid, indicating successful pairing.

3. Take-off and Landing

  • One-Key Take-off: After pairing, press the One-Key Take-off/Landing button. The drone will automatically ascend to a stable hovering height.
  • Manual Take-off: After pairing, push both joysticks diagonally outwards and downwards to start the propellers. Then, slowly push the left joystick up to ascend.
  • One-Key Landing: During flight, press the One-Key Take-off/Landing button. The drone will automatically descend and land gently.
  • Manual Landing: Slowly pull the left joystick down to descend. Once landed, pull both joysticks diagonally inwards and downwards to stop the propellers.

4. Flight Controls and Speed Adjustment

  • Altitude Hold: The drone maintains its altitude automatically, making it easier to control.
  • Directional Control: Use the right joystick to move the drone forward, backward, left, or right.
  • Rotation: Use the left joystick left or right to rotate the drone.
  • Speed Adjustment: Press the Speed Switch Button on the remote to cycle through 3 different speed modes (low, medium, high). Start with low speed for beginners.

5. Special Flight Features

  • Circle Fly: Activate this mode to make the drone fly in a circular path. Refer to the manual for specific button combinations.
  • 3D Flip: Press the Flip Button, then push the right joystick in any direction to perform a 360-degree flip. Ensure sufficient altitude and space.
  • High Speed Rotation: The drone can perform rapid rotations. Consult the manual for activation steps.
  • IR Battle Mode: Engage in infrared battles with another TOMZON A24 drone. Each drone can "shoot" an IR beam, and hits are registered.
  • Throw to Go: Gently toss the drone into the air after pairing, and its sensors will automatically stabilize it into a hover.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the drone and remote control. Do not use water or chemical cleaners.
  • Propeller Care: Regularly check propellers for damage (bends, cracks). Replace damaged propellers immediately using the spare parts provided.
  • Battery Storage: If storing the drone for an extended period, remove the batteries from both the drone and the remote control. Store batteries in a cool, dry place.
  • General Storage: Store the drone and its accessories in a safe, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
