Model: HDR-CX150 | Brand: Sony

Introduction

This manual provides essential information for setting up, operating, and maintaining your Sony HDR-CX150 High Definition Handycam Video Camera Camcorder. The HDR-CX150 is designed to capture stunning detail and clarity in video with its back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS sensor, supporting 3.0 MP digital still images and 1920 x 1080 full HD video recording. Its 2.7-inch LCD display offers ease of use and a clear view, powering on when opened. Experience vivid and accurate coloring for natural, lifelike images with x.v.Color technology. The camcorder also features a 25x optical/300x digital zoom to bring distant objects and scenes up close.

Setup

1. Battery Installation

The battery compartment is located at the rear of the camcorder. Press the release button to open the compartment, insert the battery with the correct orientation, and close the cover until it clicks securely. Ensure the battery is fully charged before first use.

2. Memory Card Insertion

The HDR-CX150 supports Memory Stick and Memory Stick Duo flash memory types. Locate the memory card slot, typically on the side or bottom of the camcorder. Insert the memory card gently until it locks into place. Ensure the card is inserted correctly to avoid damage.

3. Powering On/Off

To power on the camcorder, open the 2.7-inch LCD display. The device will automatically turn on. To power off, close the LCD display. Alternatively, use the power switch if available.

4. Initial Settings

Upon first power-on, you may be prompted to set the date, time, and language. Follow the on-screen instructions using the navigation buttons or touch screen (if applicable) to configure these settings.
