9. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Device not responding to app. | No power, Wi-Fi disconnected, incorrect pairing, 5GHz Wi-Fi network. | Check power supply. Verify Wi-Fi router is on and connected to 2.4GHz network. Re-pair the device with the app. Ensure your phone is on a 2.4GHz network during pairing. |
| RF remote not working. | Remote not paired, dead battery, out of range. | Re-pair the RF remote (Section 6.3). Replace CR2032 batteries. Ensure remote is within effective range of the smart switch. |
| Voice control not working. | App not linked to voice assistant, device not discovered, incorrect command. | Ensure Tuya Smart/Smart Life skill is enabled and linked in Alexa/Google Home app. Ask voice assistant to "Discover devices". Use the exact device name configured in the app. |
| Device frequently disconnects from Wi-Fi. | Weak Wi-Fi signal, network interference. | Move the Wi-Fi router closer to the smart switch or use a Wi-Fi extender. Reduce interference from other 2.4GHz devices. |
| Switch does not turn on/off connected appliance. | Incorrect wiring, overloaded circuit, faulty appliance. | Verify wiring connections (Section 6.1). Ensure the connected load does not exceed 10A. Test the appliance directly to confirm it is functional. |
