3.4. Calibration

The AZ8701 supports automatic and manual calibration using 33% and 75% salt solutions. Refer to advanced user guides or contact support for detailed calibration procedures. Regular calibration ensures optimal accuracy.

4. Maintenance

4.1. Sensor Protection

Always ensure the sensor cap is placed over the humidity sensor when the meter is not in use. This protects the sensitive capacitance polymer RH sensor from dust, debris, and physical damage, maintaining its accuracy and lifespan.

4.2. Cleaning

Wipe the meter's casing with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Avoid getting moisture into the sensor area or battery compartment.

4.3. Storage

When storing the meter for extended periods, remove the batteries. Store the device in a cool, dry place within the specified storage conditions:

  • Storage Temperature: -20℃ to 50℃ (-4℉ to 122℉)
  • Storage Relative Humidity: Less than 90% RH

5. Troubleshooting

  • No Display / Meter Not Turning On:

Check if the batteries are correctly installed with the proper polarity. Replace with fresh AAA batteries if necessary. Ensure the ON/OFF button is pressed firmly.

  • "LO BAT" Indication:

This indicates low battery power. Replace both AAA batteries immediately to ensure accurate readings and continued operation.

  • Inaccurate Readings:

Ensure the sensor cap is removed during measurement. Allow sufficient time (approx. 80 seconds) for the sensor to stabilize in a new environment. If readings remain consistently inaccurate, consider performing a calibration or contacting customer support.

  • Display Frozen:

Check if the HOLD function is active. Press the HOLD button again to release the display.
