3. Setup and Initial Use
3.1 Battery Installation and Charging
- Unscrew the tail cap of the flashlight.
- Insert one of the provided Type-C rechargeable 21700 batteries with the positive (+) end facing towards the light head.
- Securely screw the tail cap back on.
- To charge the battery, connect the provided Type-C charging cable to the battery's charging port and a suitable USB power source. The battery indicator will show charging status.
- A spare battery is included for extended use.
3.2 O-Ring Maintenance
- Before each dive, inspect the O-rings for any signs of damage, dirt, or debris.
- Clean the O-rings and their grooves thoroughly.
- Apply a thin layer of silicone grease to the O-rings to ensure a watertight seal.
- Ensure the O-rings are properly seated in their grooves before closing the flashlight.
3.3 Lanyard Attachment
Attach the included lanyard to the designated attachment point on the flashlight for secure handling during dives.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Power On/Off and Mode Switching
- Power On: Press the side switch to turn the light on.
- Mode Cycle: With the light on, short press the side switch to cycle through the modes: Low (150 lumens) → Medium (420 lumens) → High (880 lumens).
- Power Off: Press and hold the side switch for 0.5 seconds to turn the light off.
4.2 Turbo Mode Activation
The 1500-lumen Turbo mode is a temporary operating mode. To activate, press and hold the side switch for 0.5 seconds while the light is on. Releasing the button will return the light to the previously selected brightness level.
4.3 Adjustable Beam Angle (Zoom Function)
The ZD710 MK2 features an adjustable beam angle from 4 to 72 degrees. Rotate the head of the flashlight to adjust the beam from a focused spotlight (4°) to a wide floodlight (72°).

4.4 Battery Power Indicator
The built-in indicator on the side switch displays the real-time battery level:
- Green Light: Battery level over 30%.
- Red Light: Battery level between 10% and 30%.
- Flashing Red Light: Battery level less than 10%.

4.5 Smart Switch Locking Design
To prevent accidental activation and prolong battery life, the flashlight features a switch lockout function:
- To Lock: When the light is off, press and hold the side switch for 5 seconds. The light will blink twice to indicate it is locked. In lock mode, the battery indicator will be green when the side button is pressed.
- To Unlock: Quickly double-click the side switch. The light will blink twice to confirm it is unlocked.
5. Maintenance
- After each dive, rinse the flashlight thoroughly with fresh water to remove salt and debris.
- Wipe the flashlight dry with a soft cloth.
- Regularly inspect and lubricate the O-rings as described in Section 3.2.
- Store the flashlight in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
- If storing for an extended period, remove the battery to prevent discharge.
