Maintenance

1. Filter Cleaning and Replacement

Regularly clean the filter cartridges to ensure optimal water quality and pump efficiency. Rinse filters with a garden hose. Replace cartridges every few weeks, or more frequently depending on usage and water condition. One filter often appears worse than the other; replace the worse one and clean/reuse the other to extend its life.

2. Water Treatment

Maintain proper water chemistry using appropriate spa chemicals such as bromine tablets or chlorine. Regular testing and adjustment of pH and sanitizer levels are crucial to prevent biofilm and ensure a clean, safe spa environment. Adding a small amount of regular bleach after a few uses can help prevent bacterial growth.

3. Draining the Spa

To drain the spa, locate the drain plug at the bottom. Connect a garden hose to the drain valve to direct water away from the spa area. Use a shop vac to remove any remaining water after the main drainage. Avoid moving or rocking the spa excessively during drainage.

4. Spa Cover Care

Always use the energy-efficient spa cover when the spa is not in use. This helps retain heat, reduces energy consumption by up to 59%, and keeps debris out. Ensure the cover is securely fastened with the locking safety buckles to prevent accidental entry, especially by children.
