4. Setup and Assembly

4.1. Chain Installation and Tension Adjustment

1. Ensure the chainsaw is powered off and the battery is removed before assembly.
2. Place the chain onto the guide bar, paying attention to the direction of the chain teeth.
3. Attach the guide bar and chain to the main unit.
4. Install the sprocket cover.
5. Adjust the chain tension by rotating the adjustment knob. The chain should be snug but still able to move freely around the guide bar.
6. Secure the sprocket cover by tightening the locking screw.

4.2. Filling the Oil Tank

The chainsaw features an automatic oiling system. Before first use and periodically during operation, fill the internal oil tank with chainsaw chain oil.

• Locate the oil tank cap on the chainsaw body.
• Unscrew the cap and carefully pour chainsaw chain oil into the tank using the provided empty oil bottle or a funnel.
• Do not overfill. Ensure the cap is securely tightened after filling.

Note: Only an empty oil bottle is included. Chainsaw chain oil must be purchased separately.

4.3. Battery Installation

This chainsaw is compatible with Elikliv 18V batteries and Makita 18V series batteries (BL1820b, BL1830b, BL1840b, BL1850b, BL1860b).

• Align the battery with the battery slot on the chainsaw handle.
• Slide the battery into place until it clicks securely.
• To remove, press the battery release button and slide the battery out.

5.1. Starting the Chainsaw

• Cutting Wood/Bamboo: For larger pieces, ensure the material is stable. Make a shallow cut on the underside first if possible to prevent pinching, then complete the cut from the top.
• High-Branch Cutting (with extension pole): When using the extension pole, ensure the pole is securely attached and balanced. Maintain a safe distance from the cutting area and be aware of falling branches.

6.1. Automatic Oiling System
