Custom Button Mapping (L4/R4)

The L4 and R4 buttons can be mapped to duplicate the function of other buttons directly on the controller, without requiring any software. This allows for quick in-game adjustments to suit your playstyle.

  • To Map L4/R4: Press and hold the square button (mapping button) + either L4 or R4. While holding these, press the button you wish to map (e.g., A, B, X, Y, L1, R1, L2, R2, L3, R3, or D-pad direction). The L4/R4 button will now perform the function of the mapped button.
  • Feedback: An LED light between the square and star buttons will flash when an L4/R4 button is programmed, providing visual confirmation.

Turbo Function

The Turbo function allows a button to register multiple presses rapidly when held down, useful for certain game mechanics.

  • To Activate Turbo: Press and hold the star button (Turbo button) + the button you wish to apply Turbo to.
  • To Deactivate Turbo: Repeat the same combination (hold star button + the Turbo-enabled button).
  • Feedback: The LED light between the square and star buttons will flash rapidly when a Turbo-enabled button is pressed, indicating the function is active.

Maintenance

Proper care and maintenance will extend the lifespan of your 8Bitdo Ultimate 2C controller.

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the controller regularly. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Avoid excessive moisture.
  • Storage: Store the controller in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. When not in use, coil the USB-C cable neatly to prevent tangling and damage.
  • Handling: Avoid dropping the controller or subjecting it to strong impacts. Do not attempt to disassemble the controller, as this will void the warranty.
