Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your FREESEA Automatic Fish Feeder.

  • Refilling: Monitor the food level in the transparent drum and refill as needed. The 120ml capacity typically lasts for an extended period depending on feeding frequency and amount.
  • Cleaning the Dispenser: Periodically check the food dispensing opening for any clogs or residue, especially if using flake food which can sometimes stick. Gently clean the opening to ensure smooth operation.
  • Battery Care: The feeder's high-capacity battery provides up to 45 days of use. Recharge the unit using the provided Type-C cable when the battery indicator suggests low power.

Troubleshooting

  • Feeder Not Dispensing Food:
    • Check if the food drum is empty and refill if necessary.
    • Ensure the dispensing opening is not clogged. Clean any stuck food particles.
    • Verify the battery level. Recharge the feeder if the battery is low.
  • Overfeeding:
    • Adjust the feeding slider to a smaller opening to reduce the amount of food dispensed per rotation.
    • For very small tanks or fish, you may need to further restrict the opening (e.g., by applying a small piece of tape over part of the opening) to prevent overfeeding.
  • Automatic Feeding Not Working:
    • Confirm that an automatic feeding interval (12H, 24H, or 48H) is selected and its indicator light is on.
    • Ensure the feeder is fully charged.
