Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Device frequently disconnects from Wi-Fi. | Weak Wi-Fi signal, interference, or 5GHz network connection. | Ensure the device is within range of your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi router. Avoid 5GHz networks as the device only supports 2.4GHz. Reduce interference from other devices. Restart your router and the doorbell camera. |
| Slow connection or delay when viewing from app. | Network congestion, weak Wi-Fi, or app issues. | Check your internet speed. Ensure a strong Wi-Fi signal. Close and reopen the app. Update the app to the latest version. Try switching video quality settings (e.g., from HD to SD) in the app. |
| Excessive motion detection alerts (false alarms). | High sensitivity settings, environmental factors (e.g., moving leaves, shadows). | Adjust motion detection sensitivity settings in the app. Ensure "Human detect" option is correctly configured if available. |
| Battery drains quickly. | Frequent motion detection, continuous live viewing, or poor Wi-Fi connection. | Reduce motion detection sensitivity or frequency. Limit continuous live viewing. Ensure a stable Wi-Fi connection to prevent the device from constantly searching for a signal. |
| Night vision is unclear or overexposed. | IR reflection from nearby surfaces (e.g., security screen door). | Ensure there are no obstructions directly in front of the camera that could reflect the infrared light. Consider external lighting if the environment is too dark for optimal IR performance. |
