2. Product Features
The Dyson Supersonic Nural™ Hair Dryer incorporates intelligent technology for an optimized drying experience.
Nural™ Sensors
A network of Nural™ sensors within the machine automatically activates heat and airflow settings to match the connected attachment, ensuring precise control and optimal performance.

Scalp Protect Mode
A Time of Flight sensor measures the distance between the dryer and your hair, automatically reducing heat as it moves closer to your scalp. This helps maintain a comfortable and consistent scalp temperature, preventing overheating.

Pause Detect
The dryer features a motion-sensing accelerometer that detects when the machine is put down during styling or sectioning. It automatically deactivates the heater, decreases airflow, and reduces noise, resuming full power when picked up again.

Attachment Learning
A Hall sensor recognizes each styling attachment as you connect it and automatically adapts to your preferred settings for that specific attachment, remembering your last used heat and airflow settings.

Gentle Air Attachment
Designed for sensitive scalps and fine hair, this attachment diffuses the air to create a cooler, gentler airflow while still drying hair quickly.
Flyaway Attachment
The Flyaway Attachment uses the Coanda effect to hide flyaways for a smooth, shiny finish, without extreme heat.
Wide-tooth Comb
Engineered for curly and coily hair, the Wide-tooth Comb helps to lengthen hair as it dries, or create volume and shape.
Wave+Curl Diffuser
This attachment has two modes to enhance natural curl patterns.
- Dome Mode: Infuses hair to enhance natural waves or curls for a more defined finish.
- Diffuse Mode: Adds volume at the root for textured natural curls and coils.

6. Maintenance
Regular Filter Cleaning
To maintain optimal performance, regularly clean the filter. Check your filter for debris and hair product residue every month, or when the LED lights indicate cleaning is needed.
- Hold the handle of your machine firmly and gently rotate the filter cage anti-clockwise.
- Pull down and away from the machine. Use a lint-free cloth or soft brush to remove any dust or debris from both the filter cage and the filter mesh. Do not use water to clean the filter mesh and avoid applying too much pressure.
- Rotate the filter cage back into position until correctly aligned. Rotate clockwise to lock before use.
