Installation Guide

The VCHOO Keyless Entry Door Lock is designed for easy installation, typically requiring only 15-30 minutes with a screwdriver. Ensure your door thickness is between 1.31" - 2.16" (35-55mm) and the backset is 2-3/8" or 2-3/4" (60 or 70mm).

Pre-Installation Checks

• Verify door dimensions and compatibility with the lock.
• Ensure the latch hole is chiseled or not chiseled, and the door is a single cylinder type.

Step-by-Step Installation

1. Measure Distance: Before installation, measure the distance between the lock cylinder and the door edge. Ensure it fits either 60mm or 70mm backset.
2. Install the Latch: Insert the latch into the door edge, ensuring the "up" marking on the deadbolt faces upwards. Secure it with the provided screws.
3. Install the Front Lock: Rotate the tail of the lock cylinder to the horizontal position. Pass the connection wire through the button of the cylinder. Align the protruding position of the latch with the concave position of the lock body and insert.
4. Install the Rear Lock: Attach the rear lock plate, passing the screws through the mounting plate. Connect the front and rear power communication link cables. Secure the door lock with the appropriate screws (Type A for 45-55mm door thickness, Type E for 35-45mm).
5. Power Supply and Test: Install 4 AA batteries (not included) into the battery pack. Close the battery cover. The lock will announce "Lock direction setting succeeded" if installed correctly. Verify normal operation by locking and unlocking using the keypad and physical key.

Unlocking Methods

• User Codes: Supports up to 100 user codes for regular access. Ideal for family members, housekeepers, or frequent visitors.
• One-Time Codes: Generate temporary codes for single use, perfect for couriers, plumbers, or short-term guests.

• Physical Keys: Two physical keys are included for traditional unlocking, serving as a reliable backup, especially useful for elderly users or children.

Automatic Locking Features

• Auto-Lock: The lock can be set to automatically lock after 10-30 seconds, ensuring your door is always secured.
• One-Touch Auto-Lock: Press a designated button on the back of the lock for immediate auto-locking.

Anti-Peeping Password

To prevent others from guessing your password, you can enter random digits before or after your actual code. The lock will still recognize the correct sequence within the longer string of numbers.

Maintenance

• Battery Replacement: The lock features a low battery alert. When the green light appears, replace the 4 AA batteries promptly.
• Emergency Charging: In case of complete battery depletion, an emergency Type-C charging port is available to temporarily power the lock for unlocking.
• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the keypad and lock body. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Weather Protection: The lock is IP54 waterproof, designed to operate reliably in various weather conditions.

Troubleshooting

• Lock Not Responding: Check battery levels. If low, replace batteries or use the emergency Type-C charging port.
• Code Not Working: Ensure you are entering the correct code. Try re-entering the code slowly and deliberately. Verify that the anti-peeping feature is not causing confusion (i.e., ensure the correct sequence is embedded).
• Lock Direction Issue: If the lock does not operate smoothly after installation, re-check the lock cylinder's horizontal position during installation (Step 3). The lock will announce "Lock direction setting succeeded" upon correct setup.
• Physical Key Not Working: Ensure the key is fully inserted and turned correctly. Check for any obstructions in the keyhole.
• Intermittent Functionality: Ensure all screws are tightened securely and the lock components are properly aligned as per the installation guide.
