6. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your AIMIBO Wireless Display Adapter, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Keep Clean: Regularly wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and smudges. Avoid using liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
- Avoid Extreme Conditions: Do not expose the adapter to extreme temperatures, humidity, or direct sunlight.
- Proper Storage: When not in use, store the adapter in a cool, dry place, away from direct heat sources. Its compact design makes it easy to store in a bag or pocket.
- Firmware Updates: Periodically check for and install firmware updates. Updates can improve performance, add new features, and resolve compatibility issues. If screen mirroring is not working with your Google Pixel Phone, please update the dongle's firmware online. Refer to the on-screen instructions or the official AIMIBO website for guidance on the update process.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your AIMIBO Wireless Display Adapter, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
| Problem | Possible Solution |
|---|---|
| No signal on TV/monitor | Ensure the dongle is properly plugged into the HDMI port and receiving sufficient power (5V/1.5A). Verify the TV input source is set to the correct HDMI channel. |
| Connection is unstable or lags | Ensure your device is within the recommended 65FT (20M) range. Switch to DLNA Mirror mode for a more stable connection, especially if streaming over a router network. Reduce interference from other wireless devices. |
| Cannot connect to the dongle's Wi-Fi | Ensure the dongle is powered on and in the correct mode (Direct Connect or DLNA). Try restarting the dongle by unplugging and replugging its power cable. |
| Cannot stream HDCP-protected content (e.g., Netflix on iOS) | This is a limitation for iOS/Mac OS devices due to content protection policies (HDCP). For Windows and Android devices, most streaming apps are supported. |
| Screen mirroring not working with Google Pixel Phone | Update the dongle's firmware online. Follow the instructions on the dongle's setup screen (accessed via IP address in DLNA mode) or contact customer support for guidance. |
| Forgot dongle's password or settings | To restore factory settings, press and hold the function button on the dongle for 15 seconds. This will reset all settings to default. |
