- Clean the chosen area on your windshield for the front camera and the rear window for the rear camera.
- Attach the adhesive bracket to the front dash cam, then firmly press it onto the windshield, ensuring a clear view of the road.
- Mount the rear dash cam on the rear window, ensuring it has a clear view.
- Route the cables neatly along the vehicle's trim to avoid obstruction and ensure safety.
4.3 Power Connection
Connect the dash camera using either the provided Hardwire Harness for continuous power and parking surveillance features, or the Cigarette Lighter Adapter Harness for basic operation. The Hardwire Harness is recommended for full functionality.
Optional Accessory: For simplified installation, the OBD II plug-and-play dash cam installation harness (HWK-TW01) can be purchased separately.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Automatic Recording
Once powered, the dash camera will automatically begin continuous loop recording. Video files are saved to the microSD card. In the event of an impact or sudden braking, the G-sensor will trigger emergency recording, protecting the footage from being overwritten.
5.2 Mute Notifications
To mute audible notifications from the device, press the dedicated mute button on the unit. This allows for uninterrupted driving without audio alerts.
5.3 Super Capacitor
The built-in super capacitor provides a reliable power backup. In case of sudden power loss, it ensures that the current recording is properly saved before the unit shuts down, preventing file corruption.
5.4 Battery Protection
The dash camera features battery protection. You can set a low battery threshold, and the unit will automatically shut off if your vehicle's battery voltage drops below this level, preventing complete drainage of your car battery.
6. Advanced Features
6.1 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS)
The ADAS features enhance driving safety:
- Forward Collision Warning: Alerts you if you are approaching a vehicle too quickly.
- Forward Vehicle Departure Warning: Notifies you when the vehicle in front of you starts moving from a stop.
- Lane Departure Warning: Warns you if your vehicle drifts out of its lane without signaling.
6.2 Parking Surveillance
When hardwired, the dash camera can monitor your vehicle while parked:
- Time-lapse Recording: Records continuously at a low frame rate to save storage space.
- Sentry Mode: Activates full recording upon detecting motion or impact.
- Energy Saver: Optimizes power consumption during parking surveillance.
6.3 Built-in Wi-Fi & GPS
The integrated Wi-Fi allows for wireless connection to your smartphone via the Opsis App. Built-in GPS provides accurate location data and speed information for your recordings.
