3. Setup Guide

3.1 Charging the Speaker

Before first use, fully charge your SoundLink Flex speaker. Connect the included USB Type-C cable to the speaker's charging port and to a USB power source. A full charge takes approximately 4 hours.

3.2 Powering On/Off

To power on the speaker, press the Power button (Power button icon) located on the top panel. You will hear an audible prompt indicating the battery level and readiness to connect. To power off, press and hold the Power button until the speaker powers down.

3.3 Bluetooth Pairing

Upon powering on for the first time, the speaker will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode. The Bluetooth indicator light will blink blue. On your device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth and select "Bose SoundLink Flex" from the list of available devices. Once connected, you will hear an audible confirmation.

To pair with a new device or re-enter pairing mode, press and hold the Bluetooth button (Bluetooth icon) until the indicator blinks blue.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Physical Controls

The SoundLink Flex features intuitive controls on its top panel:

  • Power Button: Turns the speaker on or off.

  • Volume Buttons (+/-): Adjusts the playback volume.

Download the Bose app for enhanced control and customization of your SoundLink Flex speaker. The app allows you to:

  • View battery life.
  • Adjust equalizer (EQ) settings for personalized sound (Bass, Mid, Treble adjustments, and presets like Bass Boost/Reducer, Treble Boost/Reducer).
  • Customize the shortcut button function (e.g., activate voice assistant, launch Spotify, or initiate Speaker Link).
  • Manage connected Bluetooth devices.

4.3 Speaker Link (Party Mode / Stereo Mode)

4.4 PositionIQ Technology
