2. Product Overview
The Veise RZ07 and RZ07C Smart Door Locks provide a secure and convenient keyless entry solution. This system includes a fingerprint smart lock and a smart lock with a 2-knob handle set, designed to enhance the security and aesthetics of your entryways.

3. Installation
Proper installation is crucial for the optimal performance and security of your Veise Smart Door Locks. It is recommended to review all steps carefully before beginning. If you are unsure about any part of the installation process, consult a qualified professional.
3.1 Door Compatibility Check
Before installation, ensure your door meets the required dimensions for the lock. Refer to the diagram below for measurements such as hole diameter, backset, and minimum distance.

3.2 General Installation Steps
- Prepare the Door: Ensure the door is clean and the existing hardware is removed. Verify that the door dimensions match the requirements in Figure 3.1.
- Install the Latch: Insert the latch into the door edge and secure it with screws.
- Install the Exterior Assembly: Place the exterior keypad assembly onto the door, ensuring the spindle passes through the latch.
- Install the Interior Mounting Plate: Secure the interior mounting plate to the exterior assembly using the provided screws.
- Connect Cables: Carefully connect the cable from the exterior assembly to the interior assembly.
- Install the Interior Assembly: Attach the interior assembly to the mounting plate and secure it.
- Install Batteries: Insert the required batteries into the battery compartment of the interior assembly.
- Test Operation: After installation, test the lock's basic functions using the mechanical key and ensure the latch operates smoothly.
4. Setup
After physical installation, configure your smart locks for keyless access and smart features.
4.1 Mobile App Setup (DDLock App)
The Veise Smart Locks are managed through the DDLock mobile application. Download the app from your device's app store.
- Download and Install: Search for "DDLock" in the App Store or Google Play Store and install the application.
- Create Account: Open the app and register a new user account.
- Add Lock: Follow the in-app instructions to add your Veise Smart Lock. This typically involves activating Bluetooth on your phone and pressing a button on the lock to pair.
- Administrator Setup: The first user to pair with the lock will be designated as the administrator.

4.2 User Management (Fingerprints, Codes, Fobs, eKeys)
The DDLock app and web portal allow for comprehensive user management.
- Fingerprint Registration: From the app, navigate to the fingerprint management section and follow the prompts to register up to 50 unique fingerprints.
- Code Generation: Generate various types of user codes (one-time, permanent, scheduled, recurring) for up to 250+ users. Codes can be shared remotely.
- Key Fob (IC Card) Enrollment: Use the app to enroll the included IC cards (up to 1000 fobs supported).
- eKey Sharing: Grant temporary or permanent access to others by sharing eKeys through the app.

5. Operating Instructions
Your Veise Smart Locks offer various modes and functions for enhanced security and convenience.
5.1 Locking and Unlocking
- Fingerprint: Place a registered finger on the fingerprint sensor to unlock.
- Code: Enter a valid user code on the touchscreen keypad, then press '#' to unlock.
- Key Fob: Present a registered IC card to the lock's sensor to unlock.
- Mobile App: Use the DDLock app to remotely unlock the door (requires Bluetooth proximity or Veise G2 Gateway for remote access).
- Mechanical Key: Use the physical key as a backup to unlock the door.
- Auto-Lock: The lock will automatically engage after a set period (configurable in the app) once the door is closed.
- One-Touch Locking: Press and hold the '#' button on the keypad to manually lock the door from the outside.

5.2 Special Modes
- Passage Mode: Keeps the door unlocked for continuous access during specific times. This can be configured via the app.

6. Smart Home Integration
Enhance your smart lock experience by integrating it with other smart home devices.
6.1 Veise G2 Gateway (Sold Separately)
For full remote access and smart home integration, the Veise G2 Gateway is required. This gateway connects your smart lock to your home Wi-Fi network.
- Remote Access: Control your lock from anywhere via the DDLock app.
- Voice Control: Integrate with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant for voice commands.
- Activity Monitoring: View lock activity logs and receive real-time notifications.
7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your smart locks.
- Battery Replacement: The lock will provide a low battery alert. Replace all batteries promptly with new, high-quality alkaline batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries.
- Cleaning: Clean the lock's exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or electronic components.
- Environmental Protection: While the lock is IP54 waterproof, avoid direct and prolonged exposure to heavy rain or extreme weather conditions.
- Firmware Updates: Check the DDLock app periodically for available firmware updates to ensure your lock has the latest features and security enhancements.
8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Veise Smart Door Locks, refer to the following common solutions.
- Lock Not Responding: Check the batteries. If the batteries are low or depleted, replace them. Ensure the lock is properly installed and all cables are securely connected.
- Fingerprint Not Recognized: Ensure your finger is clean and dry. Re-register your fingerprint if the issue persists.
- Keypad Not Working: Check for low battery. Ensure the keypad is clean and free from debris.
- App Connectivity Issues: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone and you are within range of the lock. If using the G2 Gateway, ensure it is powered on and connected to your Wi-Fi network. Restart the app or your phone.
- Lock Jams: Ensure the door frame and strike plate are properly aligned. Check for any obstructions in the door jamb.
- Forgotten Administrator Password: Follow the password reset procedure within the DDLock app or consult Veise support.
