3. Setup
3.1. Inserting the Micro SD Card
- Locate the Micro SD card slot on the side of the camera.
- Gently insert the provided 32GB Micro SD card into the slot until it clicks into place. Ensure the card is inserted with the correct orientation.
- To remove, gently push the card inward until it springs out.
Note: A Micro SD card (Class 10 or higher, up to 128GB) is required for recording. The camera includes a 32GB card.
3.2. Charging the Camera
- Connect the camera to a USB power source (e.g., computer, wall adapter) using the provided USB cable.
- The charging indicator light will illuminate during charging.
- The light will change or turn off once the camera is fully charged (approximately 2-3 hours).
3.3. Powering On/Off
- Power On: Press and hold the Power button for a few seconds until the screen illuminates.
- Power Off: Press and hold the Power button for a few seconds until the screen turns off.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1. Recording Video
- Ensure the camera is powered on and a Micro SD card is inserted.
- Press the Record button once to start video recording. The screen will display a recording indicator (e.g., a red dot or timer).
- To stop recording, press the Record button again. The recording indicator will disappear.
Note: The camera records video in 5-minute segments, saving each segment as a separate AVI file. These files are typically 1GB in size. This is a standard feature for continuous recording and memory management.
4.2. Checking Recording Status
The 1-inch HD screen allows you to monitor the recording status. Look for the recording indicator (e.g., a red dot or a flashing icon) on the screen. The screen may dim or turn off after a short period to conserve battery; however, the recording indicator should remain visible or a small LED light on the camera body should indicate active recording.
4.3. Transferring Files to a Smartphone
- Remove the Micro SD card from the camera.
- Insert the Micro SD card into the provided multi-function card reader.
- Connect the card reader to your smartphone (ensure your smartphone supports USB OTG or has the appropriate port).
- Access the files on the Micro SD card through your phone's file manager or a compatible app.
5. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the camera body and lens. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Storage: Store the camera in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Battery Care: For optimal battery life, charge the camera regularly, even if not in frequent use. Avoid fully discharging the battery for extended periods.
- Water Resistance: The camera is water repellent, meaning it can withstand splashes. It is not designed for submersion in water.
