Control Panel & Remote Control
The fan can be operated using the touch controls on its base or the included remote control. Both offer similar functionalities.
- Power Button: Turns the fan On/Off.
- Speed Control: Adjusts between 12 speed settings.
- Horizontal Oscillation (60° Left-Right): Activates/deactivates side-to-side movement.
- Vertical Oscillation (90° Up-Down): Activates/deactivates up-and-down movement.
- Timer Button: Sets the fan to turn off automatically after 1 to 8 hours.
- Mode Button: Cycles through different modes, including Drying Mode.
5. Setup
The MISTRAL MHV812R2-G fan requires no assembly. Simply follow these steps to prepare it for use:
- Unpack the fan and all accessories from the packaging.
- Place the fan on a firm, level surface.

6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Power On/Off
- Press the Power button on the control panel or remote control to turn the fan on.
- Press the Power button again to turn the fan off.
6.2 Adjusting Fan Speed
- With the fan on, press the Speed button (often indicated by '+' or '-' symbols, or a fan icon) on the control panel or remote control to cycle through the 12 available speed settings.
6.3 Auto-Oscillation
- Horizontal Oscillation: Press the Horizontal Oscillation button (often indicated by a left-right arrow icon) to activate 60° left-right oscillation. Press again to deactivate.
- Vertical Oscillation: Press the Vertical Oscillation button (often indicated by an up-down arrow icon) to activate 90° up-down oscillation. Press again to deactivate.
- Both oscillation modes can be used simultaneously.
6.4 Setting the Timer
- Press the Timer button on the control panel or remote control. Each press will increase the timer setting by 1 hour, up to a maximum of 8 hours.
- The fan will automatically turn off once the set time has elapsed.
- To cancel the timer, cycle through the settings until no timer indicator is displayed, or turn the fan off.
6.5 Drying Mode
- Press the Mode button on the control panel or remote control until the Drying Mode is activated. This mode is optimized for air circulation to assist in drying.
- Press the Mode button again to cycle to other modes or deactivate Drying Mode.
7. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning will help maintain the fan's performance and extend its lifespan. Always unplug the fan before cleaning.
- Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior surfaces of the fan with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Grille and Blades: The front grille is designed for easy removal for cleaning. Gently twist or unclip the front grille as indicated by markings (if any) to access the blades. Use a soft brush or vacuum cleaner to remove dust from the blades and inside the grille. Ensure all parts are dry before reassembling.
