3. Setup
3.1 Physical Installation
- Choose a Location: Select a suitable wall location, ensuring it is within reach of a power outlet and away from direct sunlight or extreme temperatures.
- Mounting: Use the provided mounting template to mark drill holes on the wall. Secure the mounting plate using the screws and wall anchors.
- Connect Power: Plug the power adapter into the device and then into a power outlet. The device will power on automatically.

3.2 Initial Configuration (via NGTeco Office App)
The NGTeco AS10 can be quickly set up using the NGTeco Office mobile application. This app allows for easy device management and report generation.
- Download the App: Search for "NGTeco Office" in the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) and install it.
- Create an Account: Follow the in-app instructions to create a new user account.
- Add Site: Create a new site within the app, providing a site name and time zone.
- Add Device: Enable Bluetooth on your mobile phone. In the app, select to add a new device (e.g., NG-TC4, which has a similar setup process). Confirm the device's serial number (SN) code.
- Network Setup: Connect the device to your Wi-Fi network through the app by entering the Wi-Fi password.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 User Enrollment
The NGTeco AS10 supports fingerprint and password-based attendance. You can enroll users directly on the device or via the NGTeco Office App.
- On Device Enrollment:
- Press the MENU button.
- Navigate to Users > Add User.
- Enter the User ID and Name using the keypad.
- Select FP (Fingerprint) to register a fingerprint. Place the same finger on the scanner three consecutive times until successful. Ensure fingers are clean and dry.
- Alternatively, select Password to set a numeric password (up to 8 digits).
- Save the user information.
- Via NGTeco Office App:
- In the app, go to Employee > Add Employee.
- Enter the employee's information (First Name, Last Name, ID, etc.).
- You can remotely register fingerprints or set passwords through the app, which will then sync with the device.

4.2 Recording Attendance
Employees can record their attendance by placing their registered finger on the fingerprint scanner or by entering their password.
- Fingerprint Scan: Place your registered finger firmly on the scanner. A successful scan will be indicated by a voice prompt and a message on the screen.
- Password Entry: Enter your User ID, then your password, and press OK.

4.3 Setting Up Schedules and Shifts
You can define work schedules and shifts to accurately track employee hours. This is typically done through the NGTeco Office App or directly on the device.
- Add Timesheet: Define the working hours, break times, and attendance rules for different days of the week.
- Add Schedule: Assign specific timesheets to employees for defined periods.

Attendance data can be easily downloaded in Excel format using the provided USB flash drive.

5.1 Data Protection During Power Outages
The NGTeco AS10 features an integrated backup system that automatically saves attendance history and employee details in the event of a power failure. No data will be lost, and no reset is required.

- Unsuccessful Scan: Ensure your finger is clean and dry. Apply gentle, even pressure across the entire scanner surface. Avoid sliding your finger.

- Re-enrollment: If recognition remains problematic, try re-enrolling the fingerprint, ensuring optimal placement and pressure during the process.

If an employee forgets to punch In/Out, or if there are incorrect records, you can manually adjust them.
