- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
4.2 Connecting to a Device
The TECKNET TK-MS01018 mouse supports three connection modes: 2.4G Wireless, Bluetooth 5.0 (BT1), and Bluetooth 3.0 (BT2). Use the mode switch button on the underside of the mouse to select your desired connection.
4.2.1 2.4G Wireless Mode
- Take out the USB 2.4G receiver from the battery compartment.
- Plug the USB receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
- Switch the mouse's mode selector to the '2.4G' position.
- The mouse should connect automatically. If not, move the mouse closer to the receiver or try a different USB port.
4.2.2 Bluetooth Mode (BT1 / BT2)
- Switch the mouse's mode selector to either 'BT1' or 'BT2' position.
- Press and hold the Bluetooth pairing button (usually located on the underside of the mouse, near the mode switch) for 3-5 seconds until the indicator light flashes rapidly. This indicates the mouse is in pairing mode.
- On your device (computer, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth and search for new devices.
- Select "TECKNET Mouse" or a similar name from the list of available devices.
- Once paired, the indicator light on the mouse will stop flashing and remain solid for a few seconds before turning off.
- Repeat these steps for BT2 to connect to a second Bluetooth-enabled device.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 DPI Adjustment
The DPI (Dots Per Inch) button is located on the top of the mouse, usually behind the scroll wheel. Press this button to cycle through the available DPI settings. Each press will change the cursor speed, allowing you to find the optimal sensitivity for your tasks.
5.2 Switching Between Devices
To switch between connected devices (2.4G, BT1, BT2), use the mode switch button on the underside of the mouse. Simply slide the switch to the desired connection mode. The mouse will automatically connect to the last paired device in that mode.

6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning the Mouse
To clean your mouse, gently wipe its surface with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these can damage the finish. Ensure no liquid enters the mouse.
6.2 Replacing Batteries
When the mouse's performance degrades or the low battery indicator (if present) illuminates, it's time to replace the batteries. Follow the steps in section 4.1 to replace the two AAA batteries. Dispose of old batteries responsibly according to local regulations.
6.3 Storage
When not in use for extended periods, store the mouse in a dry, cool place. If storing for a very long time, it is recommended to remove the batteries to prevent leakage.
7. Troubleshooting
- Mouse not responding:
- Check if the batteries are correctly installed and have sufficient charge. Replace if necessary.
- Ensure the mouse is switched ON and the correct connection mode (2.4G, BT1, or BT2) is selected.
- For 2.4G mode, ensure the USB receiver is securely plugged into a working USB port. Try a different port.
- For Bluetooth mode, ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device and the mouse is properly paired. Try re-pairing if connection is lost.
- Cursor erratic or not moving smoothly:
- Clean the optical sensor on the underside of the mouse with a soft, dry cloth.
- Ensure you are using the mouse on a suitable surface. Avoid highly reflective or transparent surfaces.
- Adjust the DPI setting to a lower value if the cursor is too sensitive.
- Connection drops frequently:
- Move the mouse closer to your device or the USB receiver.
- Avoid using the mouse near strong sources of electromagnetic interference (e.g., Wi-Fi routers, other wireless devices).
- Ensure your device's Bluetooth drivers are up to date.
