Setup and Assembly

Please follow these steps carefully. It is recommended to assemble the bed in the room where it will be used.

1. Prepare the Area: Clear a spacious area for assembly. Lay out all components on a soft, clean surface to prevent scratches.
2. Attach Side Rails to Headboard: Connect the side rails to the headboard using the provided bolts and washers. Do not fully tighten yet.
3. Attach Side Rails to Footboard: Connect the other end of the side rails to the footboard. Ensure all connections are aligned before gently tightening all bolts.
4. Install Center Support Beam: Place the center support beam into its designated slots or brackets along the side rails. Secure with screws if required.
5. Assemble Storage Mechanism: Follow the specific instructions provided with the storage frame mechanism. This typically involves attaching the lifting arms to the bed frame and the slat frame. Ensure all hydraulic components are correctly installed and secured.
6. Install Slats: Place the bed slats onto the support frame. Depending on the design, they may snap into place or require screws. Ensure they are evenly spaced and secure.

Operating Instructions (Storage Function)

The Massimo Storage Bed features a convenient lift-up mechanism to access under-bed storage. Always operate the mechanism with care.

1. To Open:
   • Remove any heavy items from the mattress surface that might impede lifting.
   • Stand at the foot of the bed.
   • Firmly grasp the lifting handle or the edge of the bed frame.
   • Lift the mattress and slat frame upwards. The hydraulic pistons will assist in lifting and holding the bed in the open position.
   • Ensure the bed is fully open and stable before placing or retrieving items from the storage compartment.
2. To Close:
   • Ensure no items are obstructing the closing mechanism or protruding from the storage area.
   • Grasp the lifting handle or the edge of the bed frame.
   • Gently pull the mattress and slat frame downwards, guiding it back into the closed position. The hydraulic pistons will provide resistance for a controlled descent.
   • Ensure the bed is fully closed and latched (if applicable) before use.

Maintenance

• Cleaning the Upholstery:
  • Regularly vacuum the fabric upholstery using a soft brush attachment to remove dust and debris.
